New Crankset

So Im bagging my old bottom bracket and crank arms. Any suggestions for a tough and reliable setup?

kilemcd 11-16-10 10:12 AM

My brev.m set is doing me really well. And it had several different colour choices for the stylish rider oolala

Deshi 11-16-10 02:32 PM

Sugino RD2, Sugino 75, Old shimano 600, Suntour Suberbe, Campy Pista, Shimano DA track, Sram Ominum, etc etc etc.

It would help if you gave us a budget.

In addition to what Deshi suggested, there are also Andels (and all the rebadged version of it), and cheaper varieties like Eight Inch and the likes.

Budget, bike, use, age, etc. Those are the things that would help us make a proper recommendation.

For the OP, I like my eighthinch cranks. Yea, they are heavy, but they are cheap and feel sturdy enough for me. That being said, my 125 pounds doesn't put too much stress on my equipment.

Wrapture.

Scrodzilla 11-16-10 06:19 PM

Wrapture is really good but I get burned out on that place.

We're talking about next Monday though, so if I don't eat there for the rest of the week maybe I'll go for it. There's also a new place over on Rantoul called 'The Farm' that supposedly makes a mean pulled pork sandwich...

xavier853 11-16-10 06:21 PM

Scrodzilla 11-16-10 06:24 PM

We still don't know any sort of details regarding what the OP is actually looking for. Until we get some, I declare this a food thread.

yummygooey 11-16-10 07:05 PM

I had roasted pork belly, sauteed broccoli with sesame oil, and butter sauteed tofu with jasmine rice for dinner. I eat incredibly well for a college student.

Squirrelli 11-16-10 07:15 PM

Scrod hates broccoli.

I love broccoli but I'm craving for some lentil soup and rotti.

youngandcurious 11-16-10 07:29 PM

I had a bacon egg sandwich for lunch. And 4 cheese Cheezits.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD THICK CUT BACON**********? It is infinitely better than regular bacon.

Also, farm raised organic eggs are really, really good. It sucks that they're $4 for a carton of 12, though.
