Should these spokes work?
I have some 283mm spokes, and I was wondering if they would work for a front Formula hub to Velocity Deep-V. Spoke calculator says I need 281.5mm. Will my 283mm spokes still be able to thread on enough to get the spokes tensioned right?
Thanks!

You may find that it will often be safer to round down your spoke lengths than round them up. This way you won't bottom out the nipples on the spokes and run out of threads -- thus not achieving proper tension!
In otherwords, 283 may work, depends on how much threading there is, but I would suggest you get 281 mm spokes, or even 282, both of which can be found.

Alright, I was just wondering since they are just some spokes left over from another build. We have a spare hub, spokes, nipples, and a rim.
Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
