Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I got this! Do you know how hard it is to hang your bike from a stop sign!

EASY
: photo of your bike looking lonely by itself in a bike rack.
MEDIUM: Your bike on some (ANY) form of public transit
HARD: Your bike in profile view with the sun rising behind it. Street cred points for multiple bikes in the shot

I guess that means my crappy Japanese SS conversion is light enough!

Did you climbed a ladder or just held the rear wheel?

Very impressive...

I held the the seat tube, then the drive side chain stay, and strained until the handle grabbed.

I took 3 photos, took the bike down, didn't like them, put it back up, and then took like 20 more.

I really want to see someone execute that sunrise one. If not I might just have to rise at the crack on Sat. ride down to the beach and nail it!

Photography is kinda my thing so I spare no expense when I really want to get a photo. And I love a good healthy challenge.

I just spent all night at the beach and saw the sun rise before coming home and seeing this...

Indeed. My wife painted it. I'm sure you can't see the detail, but there are ice-cream cones and other tasty treats in the yellow background.

what do you guys thinks about just going back to the one challenge? because it seems like people are only doing the easy challenges, while the others are left untouched

It's your thread. Do what you want with it, man.
The three option increases the likely-hood of keeping it going, but I'm down with whatever, I will try and keep it going either way!

I like the three options. I just don't ever ride public transport. And I haven't had the time to get a good sunset shot :S
