Can I ask, why the investment in that frame with such a positive rise stem, rear brake, and all-out-om-nom-nom's?

I like the look and feel of Leader Aluminum frame --upgrade from 2 previous steel bike that I have, and I got 'hand me down' good deal on the sweet omnom. Rear brake - because unfortunately I like coasting, and hi rise degree stem is because I kinda like to have option of upright position and not killing my back just to reach the top, but still have option for drop if I wanna sprint or climb hills. Umm..maybe also because I have a short leg, long torso, and short arms..hmm that doesn't sound normal..

I don't know; a couple uses of a hex wrench and you have mad street cred with that stem flipped... but OP's doin it wrong.

I think Lilcphoto is asking you why you bought a "track/street" frame, designed for stiffness and agility, and made it into a cruiser/comfort bike with a negative saddle-bar drop, a freewheel, and a kickstand.

Kind of...If I had the sum of components, I would definitely build it up the same.. But yes, spending the $$$ on a carbon fork, om-nom-nom's, Leader frame and setting it up the way OP did definitely peaked my curiosity.

Yup. If you see closely, the kickstand was only bolted halfway on the chainstay. It's sitting in my backpack together with my camera and other 2 lenses when I went biking around the city yesterday..I wouldn't call it 'cruiser or comfort' since I can still beat all those boys that I'm riding with today on their kilo on westside highway, but yeah, I purposely picked all the components and set it up so it's quite fast and responsive for riding in the city, but I can still have a somewhat comfortable ride. Leader Love!
Oh and hope this doesn't sound defensive but the saddle is level to the top of the bar (1" higher actually), and saddle to drop is about 6" - so it's not negative. Just saying.

hey, if you arent comfortable on your bike, you arent gonna ride it. Simple as that.

My saddle and stem are at the same height for that very reason. Oh noez, my stem isnt slammed for madtytestreetcredz.

How much should I pay for this? And how good are the LD-725tr frames? Do they last long?

How much do you want to pay for it? What year is the frame? how many miles on the components?

it's supposedly brand new and I'm not quite sure what year... but from the looks of it 2009? taking a guess and I just wanted to know how much that would range in

Can't seem to find any decent price on an Alpha Q but they range anywhere from $200-$400 new. A headset in a bike doesn't usually add much value unless its a King and even then MAYBE an additional $50.

Handlebars and stem are things you should pick out yourself, unless you know those are the ones you want and are willing to pay the extra for them.

All in all, I haven't been a Leader owner long, but I do own 2 of their frames, and I am quite satisfied with both of them.

That saddle looks so far forward....

yeah it is... i've messed with it being everywhere but that position is most comfy for me (legs+sensitive area). could be the shape of my cheap saddle.

Does anyone know if Leader takes Frame Size measurements from c-c or c-t?
