Well, you can get a new 725TR from one of our very own (Scrodzilla) for $350. However That is the new 725 "mid" version which has an improved seat collar/clamp. Everything else is the same as the old 2011 725.

does the 722ts have a long top tube like the 725?I usually ride a 52/54 frame so im wondering if I should go with the 53 or 51

IDK but there is a geo chart on page 16 of this thread for the 725.

Sweet, St Angie. I  mine too.

SaintAngie 08-20-11 05:20 PM

Another 49! Mine's not quite as featherweight as yours and I've yet to put it on a proper scale but I did the old "weigh yourself, then weigh yourself holding the bike" trick and it comes in somewhere in the neighborhood of 17.5 lbs.

TejanoTrackie 08-20-11 06:01 PM

Mine has gained a bit of weight to 16.3 lbs since I last posted it, due a change in the front wheel and the addition of a second 16T cog on the flip side. I removed the very light Zipp 303 front and replaced it with a wheel I built up from a Milwaukee Bicycle Company (Ben's) hub, Sapim Laser spokes and Velocity escape rim. The tire is the same 22mm Conti Competition tubie. I got my first chance to use the Hozan lockring pliers I bought from y'all and, wow, what a difference ! No more loose or stripped lockrings forevah. My Wabi Lightning is the new lightweight champ now, 15 lbs even, including a water bottle cage.

That's one clean looking bike. Great job Angie!

SaintAngie 08-20-11 06:13 PM

Thanks!

I've got some pretty small hands and those Hozan pliers really are a blessing.

I quite enjoyed my mothers camera when I had the chance to carry it around with me on a ride, but this time I only had my iPhone (3gs).

I rode Prez, my buddy tried out the 722 (definitely a step up from his schwinn mtb) and he can't wait to get a road bike. We were ~15 miles into our ride when I realized that my handbuilt rear road wheel (Novatec to Razor with DT Comp) acquired a nasty wobble. I need to get it trued up by a pro this time. no damage, but the 722 is out of commission till I can get around to repairing all the little things (brake housing, SRAM hoods, new bar tape (I think it might even be the same bar tape I've had since the Kilo! o_0) wheel trued, tune-up)

Tho with the transformation, it only came out to around 1-2 lbs heavier... Quite surprising when you think about it (Just the seatpost and saddle alone tallied an extra half a pound).

Note: better photos of the 722 rebuild to follow soon
