I agree, the frames look sw8.
|
Anyone else having issues with the binder bolt on their 722s? I broke mine in half last night after stripping it....
|
hamfoh had an issue with his.
|
I had an issue with my 722-rs'... but that is because I didn't know what I was doing. Learn and live.

A Black Friday impulse buy turned in to an early Christmas present. Leader love indeed.

I think the cutout in those frames looks totally wrong. I give a big thumbs down to that design.

i will admit i like it when the wheel is slammed and the tire's a mm from rubbing.
but especially as pictured above, i agree. heavy, stupid, flexy design. |
|
oops. almost forgot this thread. it's been a Leader week here, with two builds/mods:

Dueling green machines!

put on my VO stem to be a cutesy matcher (it's a little shorter than ideal probably, but okay with my massive setback).
the 25.4 to 31.8 shim makes me a little nervous though http://distilleryimage8.instagram.co...38016265_7.jpg |
Looks good, man. :thumb:
The shim shouldn't make you nervous at all. |
I race my Concept with a 25.4 to 31.8 shim. Standing starts and all. No problemo. In fact, it actually helps reinforce the bar.
It is a bit ugly, though, so you do lose some style points. |
What is this stigma with handlebar shims? I called 3 LBS around me when I needed one and every single one tried to convince me it was a bad idea.
|
had a LBS telling me not to put one on my girl's handlebars too (for her brake levers). I'm like worst case scenario, and I mean absolutely worst case, it becomes loose and she she has to use her other brake for her ride home. RELAAAAX GUUYZ
I was only nervous about this one because it's such a big gap measure and it's like... my stem. but I feel better now |

pic you can actually see. someone told me my saddle to bar drop wasn't significant enough, but any lower and I think my neck would be in a bad place (also testing my seatpost a few mm lower than where I normally keep it). sorry it's NDS, wasn't planning to snap one when I locked it up
http://distilleryimage5.instagram.co...38142014_7.jpg oh and tarck drops still suck. I tried to fool myself |

I don't understand why you would ever care about this.

A lot of folks look at pics of bikes that are set up for racing and assume that every bike should look that way. Those are usually the same people you see riding around with their hands on the stem, arms locked out, ass on the saddle nose and altogether awkward looking. All that matters is that your set up works for you.
