I bike as my primary mode of transportation, recreation, and exercise. Tape definitely gets grimy. I replace it fairly often as is, I don't mind. As bike stuff goes, it's cheap.

I've used white lizardskins before, not so cleanable. I'm using white fizik now and it's easier to clean.

Rubber long grips (which presumably clean with soap and water) are also an option I guess, although I'm not sure how they'd fit with these oversized bars since the widening starts fairly early.

White saddles, particularly those with leather coverings, look pretty bad as well in a short time, expecially if you ride in jeans and cutoffs.

I already have 107mi on her this week and am LOVING IT. I forgot how much I loved riding fixed. The S2 is sitting, neglected and missing pedals, in my room.
