Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

haha.

I looked pretty cool when I peeled myself off the street on my own without the aid of paramedics. I'll say that.

if you weren't wearing a helmet you wouldve caught some air going over those tracks and glided home safely

Bad joke aside, I'm happy to see your response and not in a coma or dead. Congrats on your new hub btw.

Bikes: Too Many

Glad that you are not hurt after your fall. Not to start the debate again but the fall that you had is exactly what helmets are made for, not auto collisions. Go get a new helmet and get back out there.

Ooh, you might want to get checked out just to make sure you don't have a concussion or anything.

Somewhat relatedly, I once had a pretty nasty fall where I had a hairline fracture on my nose and had no idea until the doctor told me. It wasn't bad enough that it couldn't just heal on its own, but it was good to know, so that I could be careful about touching/bumping it.
