Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

thankfully no, but i have ruined a tire and decided it would be best to change the tire on the side of the road before I went home. I was riding the ferry and had time to inspect it.

I skid sometimes for fun through grass or when the ground is wet and in emergency situations.. I like saving the tread on my tires lol
