does anyone get hurt?
Does anyone know of any messengers that have been injured while darting in and around traffic on the mean streets? I have seen some videos and it looks pretty darn scary.

They say that most riders have a serious accidnet every 2000miles or so.

They actually get issued a special spray for their persons which makes them impervious to injury. Dispatchers hand it out, and it fits nicely in a stash pocket. Its part teflon, part kevlar, and all magic. Posengers get none.

Pie is the answer you are looking for, if you are carrying a pie, no one will hit you becuase they think you will hit them or maybe that you will give them a slice.

Not to interrupt all this pie talk, because I love me a good peach pie...Mmm. tasty. But a not-too-old Harvard study of Boston messengers showed an injury rate among working messengers in Boston comparable to NFL players.

165 - when the hell did that happen? Is your bike ok?
I have a tendency to crash a lot, both while doing singletrack mtb stuff and apparnetly while riding in the city. My last big oops was the fixie vs taxi incident that robbed me of my Marin Verona frameset. I've broken a good half dozen helmets crashing, but sometimes I just get the feeling that sometimes I just ride too aggressively. At least in the woods, the trees don't blindly accelerate into the middle of trails...

Heh. I guess you missed that. Feast your eyes on the current state of the frame. Amazingly, all I had were a few bruises, none of which were sufficiently visible to show off.

You never know, it might have been me having those crashes for you...
