Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Got whacked.

While we're on the subject, I'm looking for a suitable triple for my fixed anyone know of a good candidate? Oh, and I want it so that keeps the chainline in the right spot too.

Live it down? Nope. Make up for it? Maybe. Get a fixed and join in the madness. But forget we shall not.

Personally, I'd prefer triplets for my fixie... And for me.

But all you need to keep the chainline in the right spot are like 12 inch track ends...

Offended, disgusted and all around outraged.

<says that as he hopes his knees hold out and he doesn't have to go back to riding a freewheel bike at some future point/>

Triplets? BAH!!! Not enough variety. I bet when you go to 31 Flavors you only have one. Me? Strawberry, Vanilla and Mocha. Just try to stay away from anything with nuts.

Bikes: 2 fixies, 1 road, 29er in the works.

Well, if anyone is in San Diego and wants to take a spin at my ride home, feel free to PM me. I'll even have ice cold adult beverages on the way home. But if you're not riding fixed, you'll have to pick a gear and live with it... just so you can get the appreciation.

Of course, I suck, so why does it matter?

Yeah, but the chrome totally hurts your weak spine, and is probably causing scoliosis. I recommend getting away from the computer, and never posting in this sub forum again. Alternatively, I have perfected a rudimentary form of chiropracty that i would be willing to practice on your spine, involving a pair of steel toed work boots.
