Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I agree that you shouldn't mess with it, aside from putting that brake on the front instead of the back.

thanks man, mine actually weighs in at about 23 pounds so its not tooooooo heavy.

I'll have to snap a photo when I'm back home and will post it ASAP.

I added front and rear Tiagra brakes, but will probably only use a front brake when I convert it to FG (I don't trust coaster brakes on fast bikes).

23?! That's awesome! Mine probably weighs in closer to 25 or 26, but I've never actually put it on a scale. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, as she's one of my two favorite bikes...all that and she's one of the cheapest!

The drops I had were EighthInch track drops, and though you could get low/go fast, they were UNCOMFORTABLE.

Just got this guy, So far the frame has ruled, the components have been kinda bull****, way stiffer and faster rolling than my Kilo TT though.

Oh, I swapped to the Omniums immediately. Stock was some extra cheapo nonsense that kinda looked like an all city. 3/32 and everything.

Ritchey seat and stem, EAI gold 15T, onmium cranks, spd pedals all came off my old bike.

Up next is wheels, the stock ones if I pick up the front and spin the wheel I can feel the bearings vibrate at the bars. If I spin the axle when theyre off the bike they're super notchy feeling. Prolly Ellipses, may try to figure out relacing some Sram S80s to work.
