Do you guys think it'll be nicer with a black thomson seatpost that matches the stem?
What if I just make it all silver the way of thomson? [sorry I just like thomson] Not sure of silver really as I have black carbon spacers... maybe swap out the black carbon for white if I go all silver?

I think the black seatpost would give it a nice contrast.

I was mostly agreeing on the silver stem part. I think they Ritchey Classic would be a good choice... and you can (almost) never go wrong with a Thomson.

Are those cranks fluted? If so, maybe the Ritchey Classic would work best to match them.

Yup like I said they're campy something vinyl records. Not sure, if I can find one for cheap, I'll get the ritchey, but at the moment I'm totally a thomson fanboy.

The ritchey will match best. Thomson stuff is nice, but not the only option.

Deda may have a silver stem as well. I can't check right now.

This is my first Fixed Gear / SS bike. Just finished it last night. I used it to commute this morning - not being able to coast is going to take a little getting used-to. It has F/R brakes due to the flip-flop hub, and anticipated use of the freewheel, but I want to give fixed a chance before I resort to that. All the components were purchased separately, after I "accidentally" won the frame on eBay.

(P.S. Sorry for the bad cell-phone pic, I'm "between" cameras)

^^ I really like that bike.

It will be a pain to keep the white components looking clean, especially the bar tape, but it looks great.

I thought about getting a Langster when I bought a single speed bike (I love my Specialized road bike) but I wasn't too sure how much I would like SS or FG so I decided not to spend much on it and went with a Schwinn Madison instead.

I think i'm done upgrading everything I can on this bike. Next step is a new frame altogether. I took this picture yesterday on the way back home.

Looks great sjmartin! The TT was a nice frame but I don't think you'll regret getting something more expensive, any ideas yet?

Simple green is my friend. My last road bike, which I just replaced with the Roubaix this winter, was all white. The bar tape cleans up ok, but needs to be replaced after a year or so.

So far i really like it. I need to get some of the riding position tweaked a bit, but once i do I think I'm going to really enjoy it. If you want a Langster, keep an eye on frames listings - I ended up grabbing mine for $77.

Your stem looks suuuuper long. Is the frame too small for you?

It's what came on the bike, I agree that it look super long - the frame is a 61, Specialized doesn't make them any bigger.
