Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Still working on this bike I pulled outta the dumpster. It had some decent MTB wheels on it, STX-RC hubs + RM-20 clone rims so I put those on a real mountain bike of mine.

Slapped an old road wheel (Mavic 192 laced to a Suntour Cyclone, radial NDS) I had in there put a 5-speed freewheel on it. The front brake was set for 26" wheel so I put a RM-20 clone rim laced to a crappy hub in there.

Front brake doesn't work worth a damn, but that's all good I just ride this on flat roads.

i would agree it looks like it's pretty cheap.. I owned one for an afternoon so cant say anything about durability. it was ok for comfort

get a short reach brake caliper and you might be able to run a 700c in front

I haven't checked it out yet but I'm kinda thinkin' I'll need a fairly long reach brake even to get to a 700c front. I've found some non-recess front brakes for about $15 that would work I think.

Lilc, you gotta be jealous of the pedals! And the rear wheel!

Getting the STX-RC wheels on another MTB of mine and having fun with this POS have been way worth the price of admission! $0.00 for digging it outta the dumpster.

I really hope you're kidding. Shirley, the saddle and toe clips are much more offensive than the fork?

and the uncut steerer, and the small clamp size bars, and...

no. by far, the worst thing is the integrated headtube and small non integrated fork with too much rake and bend.

kinda has me concerned about the bend on the bianchi fork and how that would match up...

in other news... i am totally painting mine something ridiculous if i ever get it.

I can't decide if I should keep mine or sell mine (if I get it).

But I saw a much more offensive one on tarckbike this morning. Seriously like 1ft of steerer.

The saddle is definitely all sorts of out of place, but those twisted spokes up front aren't really doing anything for me either...

and don't call me Shirley.

yummygooey: lollin, that's my friend's bike.

and loving how non-integrated fork and bar clamp size get called out before twisted spokes.

CC hit the nail on the head. That fork is not meant for an integrated headset, it just looks so awkward. The rest of the bike isn't much better, that was just the first thing that caught my eye.
