I decided to sell the leader. Its heavy, feels sluggish when I ride and I'm pretty sure once I sell it i'll be building up a Wabi Lightning. I just wanted some others opinions on how I should price it.
Leader 725TR Frame (has some a few scratches on the top tube)
Full Carbon Bianchi Lorenzo Fork with Carbon Compressor Cap
Ritchey Seat Post and Selle San Marco Lux Saddle.
RB-018 Bars
The Wheels are B43's laced to Formula Hubs with a 17T cog and steel lockring.
The Crankset is a bit banged up. It's an RPM Power Spline with a 48T Chainring.

A different wheelset could completely change the bike. Just sayin.. But I know how you feel. I've had some bikes that just didn't feel right.
Jake makes a good point; the difference between bombproof b43's vs open pros are like night and day. I'm not joking either, I have both in very comparable builds.

I'm keeping the pauls. I'll probably lace them up to Iro Cold Fusions for the moment and then down the road I might do Open Pros or some other sexy wheels. Saturday i'll be taking everything down to the co-op and swapping my B43's with my DP18's. also, how do you think I should have built it up? My eyes are already filled with Wabi lightning...but I'd be more then happy to keep the Leader and just keep the cash in my pocket.
Do you really think I could get more by parting it out?
It feels like it could take ages to sell everything.

Parting out a bike almost always nets you more if the parts are in decent shape. But like you said, it can be a hassle. It's just a gamble you take either way. Originally Posted by avner

Don't DP18s weigh almost as much as B43s? A step in the right direction, I guess.. It sounds like you want a Wabi. In that case I'd say sell your Leader and get a Wabi. Because you'll be extra disappointed if you stick a bunch of money into the Leader and still aren't happy with it.

If you are heart set on a Wabi, then there is no changing your mind... It does seem like a more comfortable geo, and on paper it does weight less... That being said, I feel my leader is light, even with the Veeps+FOER41... I think switching those wheels out would make a HUGE difference, but I also vote for a Wabi.
Price wise:
Frame - $150-$250 depending on the market
Fork - $75-$150 (Not quite sure how to price forks, but I've noticed carbon forks run around those ranges)
seatpost+saddle - $20-$40 depending on buyers
Nitto Bars - $30-$40
B43's - $175-$225
Crankset - I can't seem to find any info on the RPM Power Spline, so no comment.

posted the listing unser 580. Also got a decent fitting on the leader. I'm reconsidering the sale of it tonight.

Lace up some light rims to the Paul's, you will be much happier. But the Wabi is nice.......
I hate to say it but if you wanted a light, nimble bike, you picked the wrong frame. Adding dual B43s to it must feel like you're towing around a trailer full of lard.

To give you an idea, the b43s are somewhere around 780gams per rim, combined that's more than a kilo and a half of rim. On the other hand an open pro is 425 grams, or 850 per pair. Like everybody else said, no matter what tires you prefer, OPs will be an acceleration revelation.
They're fairly durable too, mine wore 23c tires for about a year of hard city riding. No complaints, maybe get open sports or Velocity razors if you want a little extra beef. That is, assuming you even want a road rim.

If you are going for ride quality, get the Wabi.The Wabi and Leader are two different worlds.One is a light singlespeed frame with road geo, the other is a street fixie(apologies for the term) with trackish geo and fat aero tubes.When the 725 came out it was advertised as a solid frame that was built to take some abuse and have bigger tire/fender clearance.That comes with a weight penalty.I have a V1 725 and i like it, but i was looking for bike to ride in the city and lock up without worrying that someone put a dent in it by accidentally hitting it with his u-lock.

Yesterday I went to meet with someone about a possible trade. We were talking about a nearly complete wheel leader 725 (swapped off all my high end parts for stock ones on the Jamis) for a Javelin Vigorelli in 55CM Frameset (fork + frame and headset) I might see if I can't get him to throw in some other parts. I really want his Deda Drops.
with the parts list I gave, does that sound like a decent swap? The bike seems wherever it came from to have primarily been someones Home Depot Center track racer.
Also, there is a 56CM Trek T1 frame available for a price I could afford. Do you think a 56CM Trek T1 frameset would be too small for me at 6'2? The Leader feels a bit large (it's hard to mount up and dismount because the seat post is so high)

yeah, that trek would be too small.

The thing about riding a smallish frame,even if the tt lenght is ok,is that you end up with a bunch of bar drop from the start.Seeing how the bar drop on your leader was a problem i'd think about those frames some more.I'm 6'2" and ride 58-62cm frames,depending on tt.If you plan on taking your bike on longer rides,a less aggressive build might be better.Everyone is built different, but looking at the geocharts my sizes would be 59 and 60 for those bikes based on tt.

so i'm thinking of my options now - swap for the Javelin, have a much nicer frameset to build up as well as a better fitting bike (the leader, even with an 80MM stem feels a bit too long) or Option b - sell carbon fork + compression cap and buy a new fork with more steer tube so I can properly enjoy my bike.

sounds like you need to play with fit more no matter what bike your on. Also sounds like you need to switch out some tires too. I would play with the setup a bit on your current bike see what works and if in the end it still isnt for you then go for another frame. Its not like your not gonna find some other sweet deals down there in cali. plus that javalin frame is ugly as sin. also by working out the fit now, no matter what frame you have, you will have some nice very well fitting parts for any future build.
