I'm confessing that murdered-out - as awesome as it does look - isn't really my style. My 725 may be taking a little trip to the powdercoater.

Have you ever posted pictures of it? I only recall one that was too close to really fap to.

I haven't because I've been riding on a temporary rear wheel and don't want to post a whole bike pic until it's finished. I'm building my wheel tonight and will take some pics when it's done. I'll ride it for a while murdered-out and see if it grows on me but I think I like the idea of an all black bike more than having one.

Understandable.

My confession: yesterday it was pretty cold here and I was staying dangerously close to the rear end of the car in front of me just to feel the warmth of the exhaust.

I love pulling stoppies using my front brakes, I think it's more fun than skids.

there's still some fear of going over the bar, but that makes it more fun! and satisfying when I can go far~

I'm used to it from MTB bikes and love doing it evevy time I have a chance and ride out backwards to maybe keospin if I can land it.

yea so,,,

Front Brake Stoppies > Skids

My friend is the same way. He seriously cannot stop without pulling a stoppie. He even does it at intersections, and has almost flipped over countless times.

For real. As soon as my lady finds a photo job somewhere else, we're out of here.

I'll always love coastal MA because this is where I'm from but I hate how nothing ever happens here and regardless of how many times we've tried to make stuff happen and "create a scene" (for lack of a better term), it never pans out because people here are lazy. Also - we want to open up a proper, kick ass shop and that definitely isn't happening in these parts.

You describe where I live as well. Sure there are some riders in the area, but no real 'scene' as i've seen in other areas. We try to get some rides together, sometimes 2 to 6 people show. The only real rides that people actually show up to our the kitted out rodies for the rode riding 'scene'. Although most of them are real cool people, sometimes going for 30 mile rides through the corn fields gets boring. I'd like to have some more fun while riding every once and a while. Heck, maybe even do a bar hop on bikes one night.

Try to put together an Alley Cat, 8 people show up. Have an open house at the co-op that is trying to get started, no one shows up. Tough in middle Michigan when our states economy relates to automobile sales and people get upset when they find out you ride your bike to commute and do not use a car. Heck, its almost a personal attack to some people. Most families still survive from the big three, so not buying cars they feel is hurting their families income. Same reason why we have no public transportation in this state. Oh shoot, im about to start a rant...i must stop.

My confession: Man i need to move....

I did my undergrad at GVSU. Grand Rapids is full of hipsters/fixies/founders. Move 2 hours west and you'll find a "scene."

Do it. I've got a rubber hose waiting for you, after what you did to my girlfriend.

hairnet - I was tired too. I showed up in my car to pick my jacket up from a friend. I was cruising next to the ride for a couple miles. someone shouted "move right before the car honks" and then someone yelled "it's cool, its the homie he's just in a 4 wheeled bike"

More confessions:
I was out of town for a work conference since Saturday and missed my bike.
I drank a lot of beer the past 5 days. Wednesday night was the climax of bad drunken decision making -- closing out the bar at 2am with a few people and wanting more booze, ended up back at my hotel room raiding the honor bar. Waiting to see how much will be charged to my credit card for that. Didn't go to bed until 5am and had to be up at 7:30. Good times.

I need to get better at riding my bike drunk because I have a feeling there will be a lot of that this summer. I'm really too old for this lifestyle but oh well.

I'm getting impatient about not having heard from my LBS about the teeny Fuji coming in and will probably bug them about it tomorrow.
