Someone said they saw my bike carried into a neighboring appartment complex. I scouted it today, and will be there again tomorrow.
Rambods, yes. I have blurry memory at best. between the rage, disappointment and ex being there I blocked most of the night out. other bike was Mikey Wallys

hairnet 04-17-11 02:35 AM

Well, I'm sorry. This isn't the first time I've seen it happen at a party full of riders. Some jackass always tries to steal something and it is always a bummer just the same to hear what happened.

i have to confess one of my favorite shirts is the BFSSFG shirt i bought from scrod.

:( :( :( :( Nooooooooo! That really sucks.

I bundled up and rode down to the alleycat - and they had cancelled it (and the goldsprints afterparty) due to weather. which is totally weaksauce considering it was in the 40s and not raining or anything. and they had an alleycat in like february. and they didn't make the cancellation announcement until an hour before. so we ended up hanging out with a few of the messenger dudes that had showed up to race and got drunk. whee.

av - didn't your bike almost get stolen the other day out of your aunt's garage or something? Maybe that bike was cursed.

Maybe. I'm sad. I miss it, and the money I invested into it. But I also know exactly what i'm going to do with my next build which will likely be a Moto Team Track, Wabi Lightning or Fuji TP.

Scrodzilla 04-17-11 10:25 AM

Get the Wabi. The Moto TT/Fuji frame is pretty flimsy imo.

I don't think you can get the Moto TT frame anymore. It's been out of stock like forever. The Wabi is nice, but it's not track geo like the Leader, if that's what you like. The more I ride my Leader 721tr, the more I like it. One benefit of the long top tube is that there is less toe overlap with the front tire, but I still get track geo with a steep head tube angle and small fork rake. I think the Leader aluminum frames strike a good compromise between light weight and durable dent-resitant design.

I confess...I find bikes very little aerodynamic...no matter how much aero I / we get!

I love cycling!!!

trvth 04-18-11 03:33 PM

I confess, I cut through the bike lots on campus to check out other people's bikes (even when it's a little out of my way).

jdgesus 04-18-11 03:42 PM

For sure, I think we need a Scrod up here in Humboldt! There's not enough tight peeps!
Plus, you can feel what it's like to die in a devastating earthquake if you're lucky!

Butthash 04-19-11 07:58 AM

Oh, Also, confession, I have never spent more than 15 or 20 on pants, may buy the "wounded Knee knickers" before they run out because they're sweet as butts, and I like supporting, even though I can make some quite like them for mad cheap. :P

Scrodzilla 04-19-11 08:06 AM

I don't know, man. They were an awful lot of work, hence why quantities are limited.

My confession is that I'm really glad to be done sewing!

I knew they were quite a bit of work, and that's another reason I'm also willing to pay for your labors, you're not some giant corporation making foreign children do it for pennies a day, you are doing it in your own pad, pretty much, and I dig that heavily! I also enjoy making my own clothes though is why I mentioned the making part, and I highly doubt mine would be the qual. of those!

Sheet man, I bet you're glad you're done sewing at this point, how do that back and those wrists feel?

Scrodzilla 04-19-11 08:42 AM

I can't take credit for all the sewing myself (we've got a couple of Indonesian children in a shed out back working on another batch of V1.5 straps) but we've got a pretty good system going. Different machines/tables for different things and whatnot. I recently built a sewing table with legs that adjust way up because I found that sewing certain things are more comfortable standing up than hunched over on a stool.

Well of course you need a COUPLE Indonesian children in your shed, that's a given, it comes hand in hand with business, and it's all around good fun!
Yeah, seriously though, different positions deffinatly come in handy with sewing for a while! Glad to see Retrogression taking off, really seems y'all are going somewhere, so far at least!
