For real. As soon as my lady finds a photo job somewhere else, we're out of here.
I'll always love coastal MA because this is where I'm from but I hate how nothing ever happens here and regardless of how many times we've tried to make stuff happen and "create a scene" (for lack of a better term), it never pans out because people here are lazy. Also - we want to open up a proper, kick ass shop and that definitely isn't happening in these parts. |

This thread kicks butt!:)
Confessions: -I probably spend an average of 2.5 hours a day reading through BFSSFG. -I rarely post even though I have opinions about much of what I read. -Though its very convenient, getting a new job 1 block from my apartment blows, it's drastically reduced the amount of riding in my life. -I sold 2 of my fixed gear bikes early this spring & converted the remaining one to a "coasty". Currently fixieless. -Within the last 24 hours I ordered; frame, fork, pedals, pedal straps, handlebars, bottom bracket, chain, headset spacers & a set of tires, to build a new fixed gear bike.:D |

I had the type of night that would make scrodzilla move to LA.

And you're still awake? I want details.

I wish there were good rides, shops or anything happening around here. Massachusetts sucks.

Oh I know! I've got a few friends out in Springfield and get out that way every now and again. I hate that town.
|
Luckily I'm far enough away into the hills to not have to deal with BS.

Where at? I grew up over near westfield/southwick.
So my confession for this post is I like to cruise the MUP on my sweet fixie and sup the hot chicks that walk/run it. |
I was pretty confident I'd be test riding and - here's the confession - likely buying my first ss/fg this weekend but I guess not. Turns out those "unsellable" tiny frames (43cm in this case) that most LBSs refuse to stock sell out in like one week at the one shop that does carry them. Part of me wants to LOL, the other part of me wants to yell at people.

Guy at work here just called my fixed a "sweet bmx"
|
i pretend to love fenders but i really hate hate hate hate them
|
There are bikes I wouldn't buy just because I think they have silly names - such as: Nature Boy, Cream City, Sweet City, Smoothie...
Bikes with cool names - Bare Knuckle, Godzilla, Master Piu (reminds me of the blind dude on Kung Fu) |
why you hate

Southwick, right on Lake Congamond. There is a bike trail that runs from Simsbury into Westfield now that's a few hundred feet from my house, I like to cruise up and down it on the fixed. I save the "hills" into Granville and Tolland for the geared bikes.

Confession: I only bought a bike because I don't live somewhere where I can have a dirt bike right now. It is not nearly as much fun. Also i think mountain biking is lame unless its downhill. It's like what we do racing trails except in slow motion boooorinngggg |

I just can't wait till the summer is here and my fenders could really go **** themselves for poking my in the shins. |
they just make most fixed gear bikes look terrible. but i get so soaked without them....
|
It depends on the build. It you're going for a real sporty tarked out bike, fenders will look like crap.

Expect a detailed, picture heavy post. It was one of those awesome nights I can talk about here without fear of a ban hammer or legal ramification. |
