I kinda want a Gara too... |
well, i gotta confess. i recently went clipless, and thought that i would never, i mean NEVER fall over before i clip out. well, after a ride in the rain, i decided to tighten up the release on them
wrong #1 at the corner of grand and bushwick, i fell. i knew this would happen. it was graceful however, and a nice gentleman offered to help me up. luckily, i was able to get my right foot out and twisted the frame so i could get my left out. but yea. i'm now a veteran of "oh ****" club |
I've only been riding a month, and now this forum is the most frequented website on my computer.
|
i ate all the oreos, lied to my wife and blamed the kids.

I went to culinary school, I've worked in some of the best restaurants in the city, and at one of the top 5 in the world. I decided to open my own restaurant, had investors, had a location, had everything. Investors backed out due to the economy, and now I'm flipping burgers and making grilled cheese sandwiches at a diner making the same amount of money I made when I was 19. The funny part is that I had to lie to get this job. None of the.nice restaurants are hiring, and I'm so over qualified for the crappy ones that they wouldn't hire me, so I made up a resume. I currently hate my life.

become a bike touring hobo and cook for shelter

My wife wouldn't like that.

i regret not doing this more when i was younger. take advantage. you can hate life later when you have a wife that got annoying and kids that break your ****. edit: o you are married... well then, this is it bro. |
My family is more shocked by me sticking around than anything. If I bailed it'd be the expected move, considering I've done it twice before.
|
Screw it. Imma move to New England. Scrod, you hiring? I can do sales, or I could be the Retrogression company chef. You could even partially pay me with bike parts.

narrow minded. heres how you do it: wake up to a bj from zooey dechanel wearing glasses. eat breakfast. bj from zooey dechanel no glasses. sleep more. wake up again, zooey dechanel is not around and its nice and quiet. eat lunch and read newspaper. ride bike somewhere or something else that i want to do. get drunk. lambo. las vegas. menage a trois[they are best friends and start college next week. yay! sorority sisters!]. dirtbikes inside hotel. authorities alerted. private jet. sky dive. amsterdam. trippy man. zooey dechanels less attractive sister gives me a blowy. sleep. wake up at home. |

Just me, but the little pad, or any length pad might cushion the top tube from a dent or even scratching against whatever you lock it up to ? A pole or handrail will contact your frame at a given single contact spot when you lean it up against it to lock it. Rarely does the bike scrape the entire top tube, so how much pad is enough protection. And as long as someone doesn't mess with your bike after you've locked it and walked away from it, a smaller pad should be adequate for any contact spot against a pole or handrail.

The name also plays a part... ugh. Nonetheless it's just me, I'm sure the kagero is an awesome ride. I tried loving this frame but it's not natural; you won't see me on a kagero any time soon heh. |

For starters, the overly industrial livery (grey/black/white)... the shade of grey and decal placement/ choice/ design just evokes a gut feeling in me that makes me want to head to a cinelli dealer and put down cash for 2 histograms. Maybe, this is just the opposite of the colorful and thoughtfully composed livery of the frames from my primarily roadie world. Yet this does not make any sense as I have bikes (including my newest BoB dogma 2) of similar toned down livery but this feeling does not evoke.

I can't say I dislike it, but I don't think there's anything particularly special about it. It's like a Cinelli MASH, except no one here is going to give it crap because it has MASH tagged onto it.
The biggest disappointment, however, is that it costs $800. |
