I'm striving to take mine to another level - in school now, hoping for photojournalism or documentary work as a career. It will happen, I just have to take it there.

I just couldn't do it... I ended up getting the 1.4 for $400. So far I am happy, although it kind of sucks that none of my L sized filters will work. Either way, I took off the battery grip, and this things actually portable with the 50mm lens! Who would have thought!
