What a ******bag. The LBS that the OP is discussing about has free classes on how to build and service bikes. Yes, for FREE. Collaborative building are for those of us who aren't mechanically adept and wish to learn how to put a bike together for ourselves in the future.

i mean, leader's are awesome frames but i'd do this:
https://store.citygrounds.com/store/p...Complete-Bike/
and add the brake and rb021s you want, you could come in under a thousand if you sell the deda track drops

Have you actually rode on one?

Your cog is slipping.
The Fuji Track Pro at CityGrounds may be a "screaming deal" but it's not a very practical bike for daily use in NYC, locking up, etc. From what I've seen of those bikes and how thin the tubing is, it would be covered in dents and dings in no time. For street use I'd rather have a 2011 Leader any day (and do).

Well looks like you have a nice parts list, etc planned out. I am just writing to say that I built a bike with Joe and am very satisfied. I bought some things and got some through him as well. At the end of it all my bike is a ****in machine that runs ridiculously smooth! I am very happy and every time I go back in with a problemor question, it gets fixed immediately or answered truthfully. You will learn a bunch from the build, but actually building a bike on your own and buying the parts for that will run you far more than necessary, trust me. Seems like you have some knowledge already, just ask questions during the build, and he will be more than happy to tell you...
