I'm sorry

Thanks you'll. Thankfully I'm not alone, I have a handful of family members and plenty of friends. I've cried a little the past couple days, and I know I will more when it happens. I'm sure it will hit my dad harder, since he's been married to my mom almost 30 years, and it will probably be harder for my sister also. Not that it won't effect me greatly, but personality wise not as much. Like everyone that goes through this, of course I wish she had more time, but she didn't, and many people live far less than she did. So I'm thankful for that. And yep, I also believe in enjoying life while we have it. Everything in this life is temporary, so we must live while we are able to and not let minor problems get in the way.

I got my FSA wing pro bars from scrod. No toy, but the bars are amazing. I like the bend a lot more than the Ergonovas.
I'm also leaving for Hawaii on Saturday with my high school wind ensemble. No bikes, but I still can't wait.

They're also lighter. (alu models)

Not too worried about weight, as they're on my Leader, which isn't light at all. They feel nicer, and that's all I care about as of now. I'm probably going to get a set for the CAAD.

Nah, I just found it funny that the first time I got mine, unpacked them and noticed they were very light for aluminium bars.
At the time I only had a pair of sqrl sized 38mm ergos in the parts bin and used them as the closest convenient comparison to them. Low and behold the 44cm wing pros weighed quite a few grams less than the ergos despite being a couple sizes larger in such a way that I could tell the difference in my hand.

Just got a finger caught in my drivetrain for the first time ever. Holy **** does this hurt.

EpicSchwinn 03-22-13 12:23 AM

Today I got a new car :) Bought online at a wholesale auto auction and having it transported it Bellingham. Gonna spend a long spring break inspecting and detailing this thing.

It is almost a year since my mom passed away and she would have been celebrating her 83rd birthday last week.

She accepted the fact that there was nothing that could have been done to save her and was clear that we not do anything heroic as her condition was un-treatable, most thankfully she was able to be active in mind and body right up until her birthday and was able to let us know her wishes.

She brought us peace and grace and she left us with peace and grace.

Sweet! I loved my 97 Outback Limited.
If you don't know already: the hood scoop is closed by default. Not too much work to make it functional, but until then it just looks cool.
Enjoy.

I had a 2007 Legacy GT wagon and loved the hell out of that car. I don't think I'd buy a used one as old as '98 though, especially sight unseen.

Well it finally stopped BLEEDING bleeding overnight because I wrapped it up pretty well. Punched a nice little V-shape in my fingernail. Like a wedge of it that is pushed in. Whole finger feels weird this morning.

Sweet! How much did it run you? I've been wondering about these auctions.

No it was more than that.
1st party sources:

http://www.3tcycling.com/roadbars/ergonova

The added mental-visual effect that the larger 44cm bars were lighter than the 38cm bars also added to the wow effect.

Most of the other consumer sites do "actual weight" where they weight it themselves, as some manufacturers will overshoot/undershoot.

40g being .08lbs, is pretty unnoticeable, not something that can be felt by human hands. (I'm aware that the FSA weighed is 40cm, and the Ergonovas are 42cm).

I'm just giving you **** :)

Today I had a sausage and chorizo bfast burrito. I'm thinking of subbing sausage for ham.

I'll have to check that out! Legacies of this year were non-turbo so there's no intercooler underneath the scoop. Idk if it would make any difference open or closed.

It's always a bit of a gamble buying sight unseen but it had a full condition report and a carfax so I've got an okay idea of what shape it's in. No accidents and no big scratches/dings. My family owns a subaru/lexus/volvo dealership so any mechanical stuff won't be too hard to fix.

Thanks :) It's my first Subaru and I hear that from everyone that's had them

Margins on used cars at auctions are actually surprisingly low. Especially in the PNW where there's crazy demand for Subarus. When buying to re-sell you can almost always make more profit flipping someone's trade-in than buying at a wholesale auction.

Passed my motorcycle driving test, gonna try and find a decent used Suzuki DRZ400SM to buy.
