Today I was about to enjoy a nice leisurely ride home from work in awesome (if not a bit windy) weather. Halfway through, got a phone call from my kid's daycare saying that he faceplanted off a jungle gym, then hopped on the nearest subway to go get him. Kid's alright, just a little scratched up. He's a couple months shy of his 2nd birthday so he's entering that indestructible phase.

Also missed USPS delivery of townie bars/brake levers so now i have to leave work early tomorrow to go to the worst post office in Queens to pick 'em up.

Today I used the word "retrogression" in conversation.

Second time ever.

Had a weld ember shoot off and burn through my pants/boxers and onto ol' lefty, realized how much I hate people who own audi's and then got off work and had a cop follow me after I took a nonstopping right hand turn at a 4 way stop but ducked out luckily downloaded Strava to check it out then biked Mt Tabor a couple times only to notice my phone sucks and GPS won't work through the trees so all that effort was wasted now I can't share it on Facebook.

Overall a pretty productive day and I did get some props from roadies when biking up Tabor though.

Why won't my SW-40 work on the same nipples my SW-0 works on?

Nuh uh. Both are 0.127"

And the nipples are Sapim Polyax. Doesn't work on 12 or 14mm brass, but works on Alloy Sapims.

But they're all supposed to be the same size, regardless of the material. Still kinda weird.

Today i finally replaced my cheap silver lock ring with a black cane creek one.

I also realized after living in LA for 6 months that I don't think this is the city for me. It is a really cool city to live in and lots of cool things to do and great food to eat but idk I just don't feel like its home. Sticking around until the end of the year then I will probably move somewhere else.

I still go back and forth about this place after almost a year, but I really like it overall. Just sucks that everything is so far away from everything.

Today I fitted drop bars on my bike for the first time. Took it for a spin up to the shops to get some sushi before I went to the gym. I'll chuck some pics up tomorrow, I think she looks much prettier. Also playing around with my spacers so I can work out where I should cut my steerer.

Today I was looking around for a solution to my clips ruining my shoes and I found these, will they fix my problem?

Why not just use shoes you dont care about for riding? Tis what I do.

Yesterday I worked for 6 hours for a case of wine.

<--- will work for wine.

I broke my second spoke in less than a hundred miles this morning. Within 1/4 mile of where I broke one last week. Cheap friggin' spokes can't even take some torque from pedaling. The spare wheel is going in the trash soon.

Can't wait to get my primary wheel back from LBS hell. It's only been over a month since I lost custody. This weekend it gets freed! I'm thinking about throwing it a welcome home party.

I saw a girl sitting on a bike, stopped on the side of a MUP that runs along the Charles River in Boston, she was trying to coax a goose over to her, I debated telling her that they're usually mean and do bite, but it didn't seem like the goose was remotely interested in going near her. Silly people.

last night i saw a Retrogression sticker in the bathroom at Bar Pink in N Park SD.

im guessing it was either a spectator or participant from the track, which is close by (also where I was previous to the bar w friendz)

That rules. You know we're moving the shop out there soon, right?
