managed to scrounge up the money to get the remaining parts (besides my wheelset) for my leader 725, by next week it'll be rideable on my kilo tt's wheelset.
|
Today I worked on my new fixed gear project bike, did some grocery shopping with my son, drank some beers and went for a ride in the rain (in that order).
Second time in a row that old joke applies; "what do you call the day after two days of bad weather?.........Monday!" |
My community alternative transportation event went very well today. Many bikes were fixed and even more people were pumped up for summer. Truly awesome to give back like that. Spent the day riding tandems and a tall bike I made a while back.

had a great road trip to SC to watch my big brother graduate college/become commissioned in the army. He made the jump to 2nd lieutenant which means people are saluting him now, and it cracks me up I see that.
anyways, turns out I left my bike outside in the rain all weekend, FML? |
Today I read the bike shop name thread.:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

@itthadan- nice air max's.
I am getting ready for work. Doing an 11 hour shift- I love that I work 11 hour shifts, 4 days out of the week and still put in full time. Thinking if I should take the train and finish my book- Lone Survivor or ride to work. |

What days of the week do you work?

Today I realized that Jerry Seinfeld had a Klein hanging in his apartment.

My schedule changes every week, which most people hate but I like. Plus I can always put in requests on whichever days I would like off for the following week, and 99% of the time I get em.

today i started suffering calf/tendon pain.
only change i've added in the last two years is a road bike. might be overdoing it, trying to keep a solid 22mph. fit seems good, but i'll make an appointment at the local shop to make sure. also, discovered this little gem at Lowes: https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...57146999_n.jpg |

The fork is on backwards on some episodes. I think it was a specialized for a couple of episodes, too. But Klein won the battle for the apt. spot. They'd walk by a Specialized shop on some episodes after that.
If I remember correctly, the Klein was actually owned by someone affiliated with the show, either a producer or a writer. After the show came back from cancellation the apartment was different and the Klein was there at first, as a last minute prop. After the reboot, the diner, apartment layout, and his father changed as well, completely different actor. According to IMBD the bike actually changed several times over the course of the show. |

Pleased to report that I met a woman my height and I did not completely fall in love.

Today I took the bike for a leisurely stroll. I'm leaving this godforsaken state on friday and I am more than ready to get back on some more lengthy rides back in CO. I'm also ready to build up the lotus/toy around with an old Raleigh Technium I have laying around the garage.... SS with drop bars? maybe so... |
