I mostly hate it but I use it to look for recipe ideas sometimes.

Also right now I've got a board going to save images for my next tattoo design.

But mostly pinterest is the worst.

Pinterest is for old ladies.

Today my pants are way too damn tight.

behold, my reasonings.

im basically using it as a cloud service for images, saves space on my hd lol
its also good in the way it can keep an image with a note, and link it to a page with more info

When I signed up for pinterest there wasn't a privacy setting. Everything I posted ended up going to my niece or my sister or some crap.

I actually like clipboard better. You can make everything private, clip entire webpages, message board posts, photos, etc. Now all my weed brownie recipes aren't shared with my mother.

I do instagram but I don't get it. People always post the photo on instagram, then share it on facebook and twitter. I gave up and now just post in one place.

Out of all the social networking crap, I prefer tumblr and message boards the most.

SS_Giant 05-09-13 06:31 PM

I hate instagram due to its unnecessary promotion of creativeless selfies and overall poorly shot pictures with even worse quality 'artsy effects'. not too mention all of my old teammates were posting dozens of pictures of themselves working out every other minute. #onthagrind #inthegym #okaywegetitguys

Last night at school for me, packed all belongings in the most efficient way to date. Going to miss the people, but not this terrible weather. It's back to the mountains tomorrow! yay!

Today I... rode a lot before it started raining. Checked back in on a thread where I got *****y about the elders here being snarky b/c I got worried I might have had some role in Scrod's banishment. Realized that was just my tendency towards worst case scenario paranoia and let it go. Drank some beers and played a bit of MLB 13 The Show. Daydreamed about my girlfriend who's out of town visiting her mom, and our plan to leave Milwaukee for San Diego. Overall, today was a good day.

Wait what did scrod do?

GMJ 05-09-13 08:08 PM

Points. I don't know what was the specific offense that topped him out though.

Dannihilator 05-09-13 08:42 PM

Back up...

Keep the talk down, scrodzilla will return in a couple of days.

Today I had another failed rain ride attempt. Oh well.

SS_Giant 05-09-13 08:54 PM

dang man, I had a super appropriate Jackie Moon meme I was about to drop...
:(

Today I rode my nearly finished project bike on a long ride. First time this week it didn't rain on a ride.

Today I had my first post deleted, collateral damage but still interesting to see the the action live.

I also started packing for a trip on Saturday. I don't like packing.

Huffandstuff 05-09-13 09:07 PM

Yesterday I was riding with a buddy and mentioned how it's been months since I've had my last flat.

Fast forward to today where I'm on my way to work and someone smashed like three fifths in the bike lane. Luckily, it was only a slow leak so I just pumped it up at work and changing it at home.

Must have been hammered.

today i decided im probably gonna build up one of those used japanese keirin frames. i like them a lot, and my conversion is way too aggressive for me, beginners mistake. gonna do all my fit measurements and stuff before i buy a frame this time, haha. -might- just get a lugged kilo, and have these guys cut/thread the stem: http://www.assenmachers.com/about/fr...paint-pg66.htm check out that repaint gallery

A bike with a road geometry being too aggressive? A build around a keirin frame is going to be a bit more aggressive than a conversion.

Mumonkan 05-09-13 09:48 PM

just get the right size. a small frame is gonna br agressive when you got ten miles of seatpost and track drops

top tubes fine, i just have way too much drop. i just want a frame thats a bit taller. i understand what youre trying to say though.

right

i have cinelli 66s and a 49cm seat tube, and i just ride on the street every day, its kind of impractical. its the first bike ive ever built completely from scratch. my last bike(half-finished "first build", a schwinn world tourist) was a very similar size(so when i saw a sweet 531 frame and the headtube looked similar i just gripped on it, i didnt know too much about fit then), but because of different bars/stem/saddle the schwinn was more comfortable.

im gonna put rb021s on the new build, and im not going to have as much seatpost exposed. going for something i can ride for longer distances more comfortably, and also just to build something i like and think is sweet, and just cause i really liked building my first one, and want to build another one.

i was thinking yesterday i was gonna just get a thrift store ten speed and say screw building bikes, im wasting money doing the trendy fixed gear thing, i need to focus what little money i have on more important stuff, but i find myself just wanting to go out and ride all the time whereas with a regular pawn shop bike id probably only use it for transportation... its just really fun to ride and build. i think im hooked. i figured this time around id build an actual track bike that fits me well, incase i ever get a chance to ride it on a velodrome. and i can also still have fun zooming around town.

still having doubts if im doing the logical thing, but its kind of like why i skateboard, it doesnt make a whole lot of sense but its super fun and makes me feel good

maybe aggressive was the wrong word, i just mean its got hella drop and reach

Assembled my best friend's Kilo today and fitted him on it. He's kind of a noob, so I kept the spacers and flipped the stem. He wanted my track bars so we traded. It's actually a very nice ride.

Whoa, a while back my shop had a nice used bike for sale which was built around an Assenmacher frame. It was like a 62cm frame with two sets of down tube water bottle bosses and nearly all Record with bar-end shifters. A local frame builder bought the bike and restored it for resale. Didn't know Assenmacher was still around...

ya, ive only been to each location once. theres one in grand blanc and one in swartz creek. and this other place in davison called al's quick release that i went to once for a new stem bolt just cause i wanted to check out that shop too. the assenmachers in swartz creek is definitely the best bike shop around here as far as i know. heard theres a good one in fenton, ill go check that one out next. wish we had a bike shop in the city, theyre all in the suburbs.
