And for the most part, if I can't find my package and I'm in need of a headset anyways .. I'll just swap it over to when I upgrade from my Kilo to maybe a Godzilla or something that has a 1" headtube haha.
Darn college kids then lol....
Speaking of east oakland; I used to live in the laurel district during my stint as a golden bear.

thought about the chainring bolts, really don't want to do that everytime (this is going to be a common switch out)
chainbreaker would be a nightmare, imagine trying to hold a chain taut with the two links together while holding the breaker and inserting the pin every single time (especially since chain is already taut at that point)

today I studied 350 Chinese vocabulary words, finished two papers, and bought my plane ticket to China. Oh, and made a super tasty stir fry. I didn't ride my bike today because it was ****ing snowing here in Wisconsin.

today, i ran 4 miles in the morning, followed by a frozen-dinner thing for lunch. eh. worked on a pictogram font for my graphic design project, had some great feedback. then i went and scored a hot new wheelset for my boyfriends bike and i might have also convinced him to ride fixed instead of a freewheel (because getting a rear brake on his bike is too complicated). then i went to mariachi rehearsal for an hour, sang my heart out, and rode bikes with the boy to a mexican restaurant and had some tortas and pacifico/modelo.

i love my new bike

I'll bite.

Today I: woke up late, it's the start of my weekend. Got some brews. My neighbor bench-ground a saddle binder bolt on the commuter. Beveled it, actually. Problem solved, now it's four loko.

Today my ladyfriend and I replaced the bent original fork on her A08 project bike and replaced it with a beautiful chromed fork from a '74 Gitane. We also put tubes and tires on her new 27" wheelset. The pug is coming together nicely.

Funny, I was just thinking about today!

I woke up a little late (nothing better to do lately) I got called by the orthopedic surgeon saying I have an Appointment on Thursday(which will hopfully determine how long until I can ride again, and if I can walk now or soon without something helping) Then I got a phone call from a lovely lady friend and she said she was going to the store and coming over, so I got up and took a nice shower, and got out to notice two packages were here, so I opened my box of vans to Viddy my long awaited new pair of kicks I scored for cheap, and opened my package for my cheap-o bendable mini-tripod for when I can get out and begin photographing things, and my friend arrived and we hung out for a while and had some fun hanging out and stuff, started watching a crappy b-movie, but she had to go home at a certain time to do crap, so we didn't finish it. While she was here I got a THIRD package, and I knew exactly what it was(my rim and front hub) She left, I tore it open and was stoked on it, even though I expected it. And also was able to avoid Percocet for 12-18 hours (I have been prescribed for pain a few months ago, and my body is finally beginning to hate me for it if I don't take it for a while) So after my back and hip get better, I'm going to taper off of them and hopefully be back to my normal self. Now I'm lurking here a bit, and my cousin wants me to watch something with him in like ten minutes.

Bikes: too many

borrowed my friend's rear wheel to see if i'd want a freewheel on the continuum. gross. also didn't translate well to risers (though i think it needs a much longer stem than the spare 80 i had that fit the bar clamp)

got a fat load of mexican food with some friends for early dinner, killed time riding around a cemetery and trying to steal another friend's bikes.

finished by swapping some brake levers

put on some 25mm Panaracer RiBMo's on my new Sun M13 rear wheel. Pumped it to 95 psi, and walked into my room. Hear a pop.

Tube blew out. Either I installed the tire and the tube was being pinched, or the tube box that says fits tires up to 700x18c to 23c really means it fits only up to 23c.

fml.

It wasn't the tube's fault.
