Today I did Mt. Diablo and ****ing spun spun spun spun for the descent. And then bonk bonk bonk bonked out on the way home.

I really should have started recording all of my metrics for the contest.

Today I took a 40 mile ride on my fixed. I've been doing long rides on the fixed to make sure my legs are ready for winter climbing season.

Today I woke up before my roomies (like always), and went for my Sat. morning ride. Passed by a guy on a turquoise frame with ALL gold components, at a pretty fast pace while shaking my head. He looked like he had a rough previous night, lol. Got back home and took a shower then went to work. Got home from the yob and my old '06 SE Draft was looking mighty jelly of all the attention I've been giving my new leader build. Wrenched around a bit, tweaking the fitment and took her out for a spin. The bike is a heavy brute, and from a design standpoint a total mess, but a great ride none the less. At home now drinking a local craft brew and talking bike b.s. with a friend on the porch.

Dressed up like a banana and went to a SICK house party. Skedaddled outta there when drunkos started demanding I do the peanut butter jelly dance.

Best drum machine ever. Though the 909 is a close second.

Today I lugged my drums to a.concert that doubled as my best friend/guitarist-vocalist birthday party. Hired a band manager, got drunk, played a killer set, and broke a knuckle on my snare drum part way through. Lugged the drums back home to my lovely wife and the 9-month-old we watch on weekends. life is looking up.

Singapore, with a view of the central business district from along the Marina Bay Sands Casino walkway.

Today I am up early to get ready for my second ever CX race. Thanks to a crazy work schedule/travel the past two weeks, I am in even worse shape than I was for the first one. So, I just hope I finish. It's a long course (2.5 miles) and I think I can do it if it's 2 laps, not sure I can do 3. I am way more nervous than last time, I think because I know what I'm in for now.

might not be "the best" but definitely the most epic

hamfoh 10-23-11 07:54 AM

today I took advantage of the empty 'main' streets down here and did a quick 10ish miles. I'm still genuinely annoyed when a road is filled with potholes AND has **** for lights on it. Get your crap together, Houston

Why yearly?

Street rider 10-23-11 10:05 AM

Today I woke up after being on the move all day yesterday for the Chicago Fire's last game of the season. Great trip.

RGNY 10-23-11 10:32 AM

ddeadserious 10-23-11 11:28 AM

Had breakfast with a friend and rode 13 miles. Good way to start the day.

Sherblock 10-23-11 12:01 PM

**** you guy who took my front wheel. Not cool, especially on mole day >.>

So now I get to buy a new wheel. Thank you good sir.

yummygooey 10-23-11 12:02 PM

That sucks. :(

Did you lock your wheel?

homebrewk 10-23-11 12:06 PM

Sorry to hear that Sherblock.

Nope, but I haven't in like 5 years. In Davis it feels like no one steals bikes, but I just got a reminder. And I know it's a bad excuse :( Gotta get a new wheel and a decent locking set up. Maybe today/tomorrow.

Weirdest thing is I had like 60 dollars worth of light that weren't touched. Annoyed.

In better news I got an up close look t an old Cinelli Super Pista, full campy pista. It looked beautiful!

xavier853 10-23-11 01:44 PM

Rode up to the cyclocross event happening today (and yesterday). Saw the Women's and men's elite division. They are so fast
