Today I tested CX tire clearance on my $60 bike. 38s will go but kinda tight - think I'll try to get 32s for the back.

I wrapped my touring bike bar with dark red cloth tape, now I wait for the shellac flakes to come in the mail. This bike needs more leather, green canvas, and twine. I think I will use twine for the chainstay guard

Dannihilator 01-03-12 07:16 PM

Today I had a much more enjoyable road ride.

Sherblock 01-03-12 08:01 PM

Today I did a stencil. Really like street art/graffiti, but I don't think I'd be able to do it. Respect the guys who can though.

They don't work on fixies.

jdgesus 01-04-12 10:00 AM

Lilcphoto 01-04-12 10:18 AM

I know its tempting to play in the sandbox when you are a grown up, but you must resist!

Ordered a new wheelset for myself. Psyched is an understatement.

misskaz 01-04-12 11:09 AM

Today I decided if I get a new wheelset for Pikachu, I'm gonna try building 'em myself. Hard enough to find many options in the 650c fixed pre-built wheelsets anyway.

hamfoh 01-04-12 11:19 AM

today my wabi wheels came in. they look way better in person than on the site.

Jandro 01-04-12 11:20 AM

Today I

Spent an hour cleaning my bike after 10 days caked on road grime, dirt, clay, sweat, water, gatorade, etc. that resulted from the Festive 500. I learned that my rear cassette is actually a 12-25, not a 12-28 like I had previously thought. Made all the climbing much more satisfying.

Also, Today I should be receive more parts from Scrod for my Leader! Ultra excited as that will just leave: wheels/tires, front brake, hoods, and cutting the steerer tube before she is on the road!

Got called a fa**ot by some middle school kid while I was heading to the grocery store on the Peugeot. I wish that **** didn't bother me as much as it does.

FakeFuji 01-04-12 02:02 PM

Today I got a Kilo to replace my old "The hour" I built her up and its a perfect fit

Better that than have an "adult" passenger in a pickup throw a bottle at you.

get that -every- time i ride the celeste 725.

i kinda divide folks into two categories on this one: ones who've been punched in the mouth real-real hard for being rude and those who haven't. some are just raised wrong.

one of the officers on my team had a bad complex about that. he was a semi-pro bodybuilder and did the whole GQ look. he finally came to me (w/ the counseling background) and asked me if he looked gay. i diffused the situation with "well, you are curiously well groomed..." :)

dddavid 01-04-12 03:22 PM

You guys are being offended by the wrong thing here.

Recalling the photos you posted, I feel like you're not the kind(or size) of dude I'd be calling names. Does it really happen that often?

People are stupid.

Stezzy 01-04-12 04:22 PM

that is when u whip out the machete and scream at the top of your lungs riding full speed at the little prick. if he runs chase for a little if he stands his ground deliver a nice hard slap with the side of the blade. he will never call you a ****** again.
