Today was a good Dirtjump session.

Road Season begins Monday.

Didn't think this was worthy of its own thread but thought I'd leave it here for teh lulz.

Those should be in that light wheelset thread haha. Also, in my closet.

BP88 01-02-12 03:09 AM

Those hangers are way sick.

calv 01-02-12 03:10 AM

Today I get one step closer to finishing my bike!

misskaz 01-02-12 09:31 AM

Today is my last day of vacation. I so don't want to go back - I haven't been in the office since Dec. 21.

Scrodzilla 01-02-12 09:38 AM

Today we will be painting and moving some stuff into the new shop.

bbattle 01-02-12 09:41 AM

Today I would like to either go to the gym, ride my bike, or finish building the Colnago.

Sadly, I'll probably end up doing nothing. Stupid cold.

Nice!

Street rider 01-02-12 10:49 AM

Today I got off of work at 5, just woke up. Nothing to do all day, and then back at 10 tonight. Once classes start next week, I think I'm going to die

jdgesus 01-02-12 12:23 PM

today im drinking a raw milk latte

jimmytango 01-02-12 02:32 PM

Today I was forced to end a friendship. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, and at some point I would like to become friends again.

Also, 20 degrees and snow sucks for riding.

This happened about two months ago for me. So rough. :(

calv 01-02-12 03:00 PM

Today I decided to tr and start a diet. More protein, slightly less carbs but more complex ones, and slightly less calories in my day. No soda or beer.

Today I:

Setup the canti brakes on the Stop Cycles, only to find out that one of the tension screws is missing. A trip over to ACE Hardware fixed that issue... but the darn screw won't engage... Now I am crossing my fingers that I can get the LBS to fix the issue without having to buy new brakes!

UPDATE:
Tried to tap out the threads with no luck. looks like this cheap set of cantilevers was not worth the good price. What I am frustrated most about is the set of Avid Shorty 4's that I was watching on eBay and didn't bid on, that only went for $25!

RGNY 01-02-12 04:02 PM

did my roller routine (half hour ride w/ 30sec sprints every 5min) on the new 722ts build. love it.

read more of "The Girl Who Played With Fire". actually like this book better than the first.

shot of blackstrap rum and a stout, then time to make dinner: Filipino Chicken Abobo before some mindless tv (How I Met Your Mother / Two Broke Girls). oh, Kat Dennings, it's been an entire week since we've been together.

vacation is over, back to work tomorrow. time to see what my caseload of little miscreants has been up to in my absence. i've got another officer covering for me, but when you have a substitute teacher there are bound to be some problem children. might even be able to talk my boss into some surveillance overtime.

hamfoh 01-02-12 04:27 PM

@calv: same. I've eaten like a hippo since thanksgiving. I'd like to drop about 20lbs and turn what's left of that into something pretty

yummygooey 01-02-12 04:31 PM

I've only dieted once in my life, and that was to cut weight so I could be a coxswain on the rowing team. I prefer to eat whatever/whenever I want and to make up for it by riding my bike. Thank goodness I'm not involved in any competitive sports right now.

Street rider 01-02-12 05:03 PM

I'm working on cutting weight too. I've put on almost 30 lbs since I graduated HS, and I really wanna shed that.

I need to cut down on the soda. Gonna try to see if I can hold it to 355ml/week.

No beer? That's just wrong! But maybe I'll cut down there as well. 600ml/day maximum. I think that's only gonna be possible by averaging. Haven't had any since Xmas day but I've another shindig to attend soon, doubt I can keep it under 600ml. Oh, wait it straddles midnight, so...

calv 01-02-12 05:45 PM

Haha yeah it's hard. I actually want to get cut and gain more muscle. For that.. I have to cut my calorie intake to about 1900 calories a day, and intake more protein and healthy stuff in general.. Sodas are sugar bombs and beers are just empty calories.

That, +lifting heavy weights at least 3x a week.

It sucks.

hairnet 01-02-12 06:13 PM

Today I read this weight loss article http://articles.elitefts.com/article...-into-trouble/ that says everything you know is wrong, especially for women. It still doesn't make me want to get back into lifting.

xavier853 01-02-12 06:34 PM

Today, last part I need to finish my road bike shipped! Should be here by the 6th.

Today is also the first day we got snow, and quite a bit...

You were a coxswain ? So was I, both in high school and college. I didn't realize you were that small. How much did you weigh ? I was too heavy at 115 lbs, so I was always relegated to the jv or second team. Since then I've gained a lot of weight, although I've lately managed to get back down to about 135 lbs. Of course, it's not all fat as I've added a lot of muscle mass for track racing.
