They're so awesome and will come down the tree to eat right out of my hand.

That's a big boy up top, looks like he's ready for the winter. The guy in the tree looks pretty hefty too. Just be careful that you keep them happy. Hungry squirrels around SoCal get pretty aggressive.

Scrodzilla 12-12-11 06:42 PM

Yeah, we've been watching them really pack on the weight over the past few weeks. I'm pretty sure it's a mom and dad. They had babies earlier this year that we watched grow up and recently move out on their own.

Dannihilator 12-12-11 06:43 PM

So wait, scrod has gay squirrels outside his house? Just make sure they don't get in the house squirrels can cause a lot of damage.

Today, I nearly got right hooked by some loser in a white ford super duty while on my road ride.

Today I got some very rough sketches from my tattoo artist for my next piece. She's booked until February, but we had a consultation a couple weeks ago and she just emailed me some sketches to make sure she's on the right track with the design. It'll be a full color half-sleeve, featuring this awesome guy who I'm already in love with:

Tattoos are kewl but I have no idea what I would get a tattoo of if I ever got a tattoo. Plus, I can only get half sleeve 'coz professionalism in my future industry.

jimmytango 12-12-11 09:15 PM

Then get half sleeves and legs and chest and back and ****. Just get some ink under your skin manno! And Kaz, that looks awesome.

seau grateau 12-12-11 09:33 PM

I want to get an Ironman tattooed on my wrist under my Ironman.

jdgesus 12-12-11 09:34 PM

today i rode on some city service roads through the jungle
really slippery and some steep parts... not a great idea on a road-tired fixed gear biek

I want to be a teacher, so I'm in the same boat. I have two, and the one is a little far down, just below my elbow on the inside of my forearm. Thats the only one that I'll ever get that far down. Got the next few planned for the calves/inside of my upper arms.

jimmytango 12-12-11 10:20 PM

My wife wants to teach and has both wrists and a forearm. Just wear long sleeves.

Scrodzilla 12-12-11 10:34 PM

Seriously. Angie is a well-respected, professional photojournalist and most people she works with don't even realize that 75% of her body is completely covered with tattoos.

yummygooey 12-12-11 10:40 PM

Office setting seems a little different... somehow...

And long sleeves are soooooo bad in the summer.

jimmytango 12-12-11 10:48 PM

Dude, offices have a/c. Don't be a *****.

Today, a friend disappointed me. Again. *sigh* Whatever. The friends that actually care are good to me. Maybe it's time to turn away from some of the people I consider friends that don't seem to care.

In other news, my band is going to get featured in one of Chicago's most respected music rags.

jdgesus 12-12-11 10:51 PM

whoa, wait.. about 70% of the earths surface is covered in water........

Except last summer where I interned... when the first floor stole all the AC from the second floor (me) and the second floor stole all the non-existant AC from the third floor where all the giant FEA/CFD computers were. Not to mention the three walls of windows. Was like a sauna after lunchtime (ahhh the food coma!). Swampbackin' it all day, every day.

I see. I've only worked in an office for like a month, and it was in the winter. I'm not familiar with that. I'm used to 110 degrees on a cold day ya know? Different worlds man. I often forget that people can't have tattoos and piercings and purple mohawks while in management haha.

Office work blows... but I guess I didn't really enjoy the projects I worked on last summer either. That was probably a big part of it...

I think office work would definitely be more fun with more tattoos/piercings/mohawks.

But seriously, there is a guy in one of my glasses with a green mohawk and I can't help but wonder what campus recruiters think when he shows up to a career fair with green spikey hair...

calv 12-12-11 11:32 PM

You know what would be fun? Being able to ride bicycles in the office.

My wife said the same exact thing I said when she saw the pic, that they're huge and ready for winter.

I get the feeling these squirrels are smarter (and luckier) than your average squirrels to post up outside someone's house to have a stable food source. Gives them a much higher chance of survival (and rate of obesity) in terms of food.

This is me with it not spiked up. And I'm in management haha.

Edit: I'm completely shaved now, by the way.

Ryrog 12-13-11 02:03 AM

Today i turned the wrong way onto a one way without noticing. i looked up after riding about 35 feet down the street and had cars flying by on each side of me, the weirdest part was nobody even honked at me. Couldn't believe i didn't turn head on into a car... Had to stop afterwards and make sure I wasn;t dreaming.

Sixty Fiver 12-13-11 02:37 AM

Today I will be sleeping in my other bed... looks like PDX isn't going to be much warmer than YEG for a few days.

I will see what I can do about warming thing sup just a little.

:D

misskaz 12-13-11 08:09 AM

Today I dragged myself out of bed, got ready for work, and then at the last minute realized I feel like **** and called in sick. Back in my PJs on the couch, wishing I could breathe.

They're super smart and have the best luxury squirrel penthouse around. We always make jokes about how cliche they are, living in a hole in a tree like cartoon squirrels. That same pair has lived there for nearly three years now so they're doing something right. Early this morning I watched them taking turns running down to the ground and coming back up with mouthfuls of leaves to insulate their nest.

God I hope you are talking about your cranium...

EpicSchwinn 12-13-11 01:48 PM

Today we have a light dusting of snow. Just enough that I've ridden like this all day without feeling guilty about tires :D
