Anyhow.

Today I did an investor tasting/party for the restaurant I'm opening as sous chef. Everyone was impressed, even though it was the easiest/simplest food on the menu. Now, after working a 15 hour day, I'm getting drunk with the chef, other sous, and the rest of the kitchen. Good times.
It's a catch 22 for me. I suffer from a neuromuscular disorder called Myofascial Pain Syndrome (MPS) so I'm stuck eating these pills that I don't want to take. So either I suffer or take the pills. I choose the pills. My kidneys are already starting to go out and I'm only 23.

That's funny... we're both named Brian, too.

It's all good, dude. There's people out there worse off than me; it does suck, though.

But, I'm Bryan. Not Brian.

Today I found out my band replaced me when my wife checked our Facebook page and saw the info for the new drummer. Apparently, working so that I have a place to live is more important than playing shows. **** them. I'll start a new band. I know the drummer they replaced me with. Chick is awesome, but I'm better.

That's whack, dude... kind of reminds me of The Germs. They had a similar incident with their drummer in the late '70s. I'm only 23 so no I didn't get to see them live with Darby Crash on vocals.

btw, how long have you been clean of opiates? Just curious. It's hard for me to imagine life without them at this point...

Today is my company holiday party. I brought a flask because there's only open bar for 2 hrs (and it's only domestic beer and wine). This should be an interesting evening...

If it's anything like mine was on Tuesday, then yes, it will.

Drunken co-workers do weird stuff after 11:00pm and too many glasses of wine.

I'm 26, so I didn't get to see that either. I self detox-ed about four years ago. Some friends ODed, and some other friends staged an intervention, and I decided I had had enough.

Dammit hairnet - how many times have we told you? If you're going further than a long walk, bring a spare tube and tire levers. If you didn't skid so much this wouldn't be an issue.

2012 was supposed to be the year I save up for the ****** bike. We're not even there yet and today my plans may already be derailed by an offer i can't refuse.

('86 E30 for a screaming deal to keep it in the family)

Tonight I am riding to a bar called "World of Beer." Supposed to be the place with the best beer selection. We will see

Agreed. Mine was yesterday. People are such a weird species sometimes. And I work at a school, so it was nice to see the students and staff mingling so casually (and drunkenly).

Good times though. Barrel (literally, a barrel) full of ice and Coors light, froze my hand every time I grabbed a beer. Johnnie Walker Black and free finger foods, but by the end of it, the drinks were pretty dry and we had to get out by 9. Really fun though.

Let's see, today: picked up last paycheck for this quarter at school, then pizza party hosted by my boss at my other job, after party meeting, home, talked/wrestled/tickled/cuddled with my wife, ordered her a bike from department of goods (YES!), heading to a semi-goodbye party for my international students in an hour.
