Now that I'm fully fed and have free time, it looks like it's a brush-on "paint" that has the transfer qualities of Silly Putty. Do your nails, dry, then go nuts with the Kroger circular. Still kinda gross. From a distance it looks like when my big toe's toenail separated from the nailbed then I went swimming. |
Happy bday Sherblock!

Today I noticed a weird feeling coming from my drivetrain. Since I just flipped my hub to fixed a couple days ago, I'm hoping it's just something that fixed gear bikes do instead of something more serious that would need work.
I don't feel it when I'm actively pedalling, but when I'm slowing down and not really pedalling, just letting my legs spin, I feel a slight rhythmic...something with each turn of the pedal. Wish I could describe it better. Anyone know what I'm talking about? |

my main concern is the bolts loosening with prolonged use. I'm going to see how the lockwashers do, and a hefty amount of loctite.
Nice lookin' fab work. |

Nylock nuts are another avenue if the washers don't work out long term.
Nice lookin' fab work. EDIT: I might get these anyway, even before testing... nylocks, lockwashers, and loctite..... thats a lot of lock.... lol |

Rock on.
Looks like it automagically converts from 130mm spacing to 120mm spacing as well! :thumb: only spaces it to 125mm sadly, a 3/32" spacer in between the two dropouts would space perfectly to 120mm. Or if I used 11/32" dropouts instead of 1/4" |
Wow... I've missed a lot. I'll take it one at a time:
Fast food rocks. I've eaten at/worked in some of the best restaurants in the country and still chow down White Castle and 3am taquerias on the regular. I used to be stupidly fat too. I started working 12hrs/day, using "illegal stimulants" to stay awake, and not eating. Not the healthiest way to drop 100lbs in a year but it works. Today was my first ride in snow, the coldest ride I've ever had, and my first ride with a rack and panniers. Riding through slush and snow is like a roller coaster. It's horrifying and awesomely fun at the same time. My new tights finally came in the mail. They're rad. Comfortable as hell. |

For sure. I can't guarantee that I'll have a lot of time off. Chef's life and such, ya know?
|
Right on.
And if you ever make it down to Shampoobanana (Chambana)... |

Today I:
Tried my hand at my first Sprint... FFFUUUUU light tension pedals! I clipped out on my second or third rotation, and it took me another 2 or 3 to get back in. Would have caught the guy if I didn't fumble, but it was a 1x1 race and in life, you don't get a second chance. Either way, I had a great time, and met a few new people! BTW: Brassknuckle, with 44/14. Topped out at 32 on my first practice, but during the race I only hit 28. Man I wish I could have remembered to tighten the damn things up before the race! |
