Today I finally got my Brooks B17 adjusted just right after much trial and error. I was in pure heaven on my ride!

It takes a while and you'll most likely end up moving it around a few more times as it breaks in.

I thought my Team Pro was dialed in perfectly until I decided to move it forward about 10mm just for the heck of it. What was already really comfortable became amazingly comfortable.

Thanks man. I'll wait a bit to see if it turns up or something.

My main problem was numbness in the, well you know. The sitbones were always comfy but now it's like sitting on air.

Today I thought about riding, but it's in the 50's, and raining(still), so I decided to ride the couch.

Waiting for a sqrl to reply, going to grab my phone and once said sqrl dishes digits fb goes into deactivation again. Nothing on there for me about questions about my self-esteem and wasted time.

chicken and noodles

Today I rode across Indy to the Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park. On the way back a nice super cell hit. Needless to say my buddies and I got soaked to the gills, and even got hailed on. I was the only one with a helmet, and will never feel "gay" about using it anymore. Nice ride all in all. :thumb: Oh yeah and I had homemade chicken and noodles for dinner. Perfect recovery food.

The westside is DEAD

yummygooey 05-23-11 08:06 PM

yummygooey 05-23-11 08:29 PM

You mean sell em all and buy a Nissan Leaf because gas is so expensive and traffic is so bad both ways?

Ouch, I have Factor V Leiden and Protein C Deficiency and was on the sidelines for all of march and the first week of April with a DVT in my right leg.

Today I threw the shimano saint cranks on the DJ. Stiffer and actually a tad lighter than the race face's.

Congrats! You're the first person on here with one of those new aluminum pistas. Looks sharp!

EDIT: OMG did your non drive side crank just fall off!?!?!?

cc700 05-23-11 11:46 PM

pista: they don't make them like they used to not make them.

drifterrolly 05-24-11 12:03 AM

i assume that prebuilt bikes have to be assembled @ the store, and it came from long beach city grounds...gonna bring it to costa mesa citygrounds (where i purchased it from, they have awesome customer service usually) yeah the non drive crank came off, lucky i had brakes.

:twitchy:

That's all I can say as you bought this assembled by a supposedly legit store....

drifterrolly 05-24-11 12:15 AM

ill let you bros now how its handled 2morow. (the long beach city grounds isn't known at all for their customer service so this happening is kinda not a surprise)

hairnet 05-24-11 12:43 AM

At least you now know where not to buy a bike next time

well dont get me wrong, all my friends have bought/built bikes at city grounds with no problems (costa mesa), i think its just because it came from long beach haha

Sixty Fiver 05-24-11 12:55 AM

Today I spent my evening in the emergency room and am now drugged out of my shoes... painkillers, antihistamines, and antibiotics... woo hoo.

Had an allergic reaction to a bug bite... (can I tell you how much I hate mosquitoes ?)... and my left forearm looked like I had been eating cans of spinach.

Having been here before I did not delay getting my ass into emergency as the Lymphadenitis can cause complications like Sepsis which can lead to complications like... death.

They said I caught it early enough and that I would not have to be plugged into an IV for the next week unless I don't respond to the oral antibiotics and I get to stay home and recuperate and actually feel pretty fine.
