the ride to/from fencing practice was awesome. the few tweaks i made to the 722ts make it feel so much "faster"(?). weird, but very pleasing.

discovered The Joy of Knee Warmers. 42F on the way home.

can said friends afford to retire?

you'll be 70 and cycling in faraway places and I'll be working because i've changed careers so often.

today i rode with friends and they kicked my ass. one of them fixed.

Dannihilator 04-03-12 08:54 PM

Today was an outstanding street ride. Get to hit the dirt tomorrow, stoked.

gigantor 04-03-12 09:05 PM

Today I ordered SRAM 900 brake levers :D

Time to get creative with the left lever, be it "problem solvers" or rubber bands.

LesterOfPuppets 04-03-12 09:34 PM

Today I pythonned more, played video games, watched Wilson Philips:Still Holding On (episode 1).
Tomorrow & Thursday I get off my ass, do long rides, go to bike shop and twist wrenches.

Today I ended my little test to see if fountain pens are amazing at homework.

They are. To bad bringing them to school = instabreak.

and I did 2 pull-ups. new record, lol.

LesterOfPuppets 04-03-12 10:02 PM

I worked on pull-ups for several months. Maxed out @ 4. :(

Nagrom_ 04-03-12 10:04 PM

I think I can hit about 20... The last five look a little iffy though...

yummygooey 04-03-12 10:35 PM

I used to do 20 easily when I was still pole vaulting. I can probably only do 5 now. Sad.

I still think adriano's bell is the coolest idea. maybe with a smaller bell

xkillemallx16 04-03-12 10:38 PM

3.

I can run, though. That's something at least.

yummygooey 04-03-12 10:44 PM

I used to be able to run, too. My body hates me now.

Jaytron 04-03-12 10:45 PM

Today I realized that I don't like RB-021's. Going back to wing style drops/hoods. I don't care if it looks weird on my damn gold bike with white/silver components.

Brakeless winged compact drops are awzumm too. Especially Deda RHM02's cuz they have a pretty wide top section. If I want hoods, I just ride my rodebiek.

I don't know what I'm gonna do with the second lever.

Getting it not to move around isn't a very difficult problem to solve. Cram it with newspaper, fill it with rubber cement... run it through a short cable in the bars and crimp it... (although some jerk might pull the lever and...)

It's making it do something awesome that will take some ingenuity... Maybe have it trigger sound effects (like the ones on one of those old keychains that make kaboom and laser noises)

Anyone remember these?

I always feel like I have too much time on my hands on Tuesdays because it's the only day I don't get home at 10. I get home at 630ish, so its too late to ride, but too early to do my usual routine.

I usually end up dicking around on the internet for way too long.

sharmaji 04-03-12 11:05 PM

61 miles on the kilo tt from brooklyn to palisades and back. jesus that hill from rockland to alpine is not easy.
