I used to fruitboot around all the time back in the day. We used to play hockey on rollerskates then upgraded to 'blades when they got cheap enough for us. Met some hardcore peeps in 'round '94 and they had me rolling down stairs backwards jumping big gaps and other stuff I never woulda tried. Someday I swear I'm gonna get another pair and get all fruity again.

That thing needs a level top tube and a couple centimeters chopped off the headtube.

It's custom fit for him, so I doubt it :D

Bars are too high. Will never make it in the 41's "Hot or Not" thread. He shoulda thought of that before commissioning build. ;)

(I can't believe that I'm defending Prolly here...)

It's not a race build. It's a upright and comfortable city bike.

I know the builder, too. Chris Bishop. Nice guy.

I crushed all my exams I've had over the past 7 days, which is what I need to do one last time at the end of the semester. Ivy league grad school here I come.

nuhtowel 04-03-12 03:54 PM

Oh, and today I finally fixed my flat tire, huge piece of glass went straight through my tube and tire. Now I have to rock a blue tire until I get a new one... unintentionally tarckyness.

zoltani 04-03-12 03:54 PM

city bike? LOL

TMonk 04-03-12 03:57 PM

Look cleats are really easy to walk in, so it makes sense

are they? Just came across some look pedals and was going to try them out. I think Speedplay cleats are the worst to walk in.

and to further defend Mr. Prolly, that bike is beautiful, minus the enormous head tube.

zoltani 04-03-12 04:13 PM

Why do i always have friends that have jobs with very lax hours....and why do they torture me when i am stuck in the cube farm?

I was joking, look cleats are pretty massive. I don't think any road cleat is suitable for walking in IMO

hairnet 04-03-12 04:37 PM

Shimano cleats are plenty durable to walk in. I once had to walk a mile on dirt/gravel, it chewed the cleats but the still worked just the same

Wonder how long your bolt's been missing.

Sherblock 04-03-12 05:53 PM

You ride to school in cleats, on a force equipped bike?

/justjealous

Muffin Man 04-03-12 06:11 PM

I have a beaterish specialized epic, but thats missing brake levers, so i occasionally take that when im not feeling lazy.
The bolt has been there ever since i remember. Ive had the bike for half a year, and its now 5 years old, the bolt has always been there when i've checked, even this morning. except for the ride home.

cc700 04-03-12 06:42 PM

detached. it's a word now.

that sucks. that happened to me on my cross bike on the way to work one morning.

Dannihilator 04-03-12 07:33 PM

Today was a better day.
