happy birthday, and "random" japan commercial for you

Man, this commercial is like the epitome of hipster ******. I also found the music to be quite obnoxious, but then I discovered it's Skrillex, so I guess that shouldn't be surprising.

:P

It's time to change that sig. Pretty sure that 722 is going to turn into something cool :)

long, awesome and weird day.

-20th anniversary of the day i met my wife. we're still best friends.

-won a small local fencing tournament.

-got a call from the manager of the local bike charity i donated my '09 Fuji League to (for an inflated tax writeoff) weeks ago saying "we don't let the kids play with fixed bikes. too much liability". didn't want to argue, so i volunteered to give them back their tax letter and took the bike back. luckily they also still had the bb tool for the Sugino track cog setup i threw in with it. went through the bike and will be riding it to church in the morning. i'm just going to keep it and thrash it.

-relaxing with a new rum: Zaya Gran Reserva

Thanks for putting pink bar tape on it, I had been wondering if I should open my box of cinelli tape and put it on.

since you're actually in SF, what made you go MASH over LOW, or did you really not intend on buying that until you walked in?

Today I:

Fell off the wagon and bought more bicycle stuff on ebay, pics when it gets here.

Dannihilator 04-28-12 08:10 PM

Today I may have agreed to buy a 24" wheeled bmx bike.

My wife and I were married 12 years ago today too. Happy anniversary!

Today I realized that though I'm a strong cyclist, a good musician, and a great cook, by greatest skill is inadvertently ****ing things up.

No, cheer up, never blame yourself, that's just life for ya.

jimmytango 04-28-12 11:54 PM

Meh... I'm trying to be cheerful man, but everything in my life is falling apart. And I'm slowly realizing that it's 100% my fault. Lost my girlfriend because I couldn't make her happy, am losing my wife because I had a girlfriend, lost friends because I cheated on my wife, am losing my mind to stress because of this situation, I'm making friends mad with my big ****ing mouth, my parents disowned me because I cheated on my wife that they like more than they like me... I have a few friends that are sticking with me, I have a job that's pretty ****ing rad, and I have my bike. These are the things that are getting me through.

Leukybear 04-29-12 01:52 AM

Don't worry, things will fall into place. ;)

The turn around time DUHHHHHH. He did buy this impulsively after all.

Sixty Fiver 04-29-12 01:58 AM

Today I realized I must be having my mid life crisis as I bought a red convertible... I already have the smoking hot younger girlfriend who heartily approved of my purchase decision and that is why she is also my wife.

N plus one never seems to be an issue here as long as N is the number of bikes one has and not the number of girlfriends.

I will be changing that stem and bars... have already swapped in my clip-less road pedals and discovered that yes Virginia... red bikes do go a little faster.

I could always do with another uber long stem

It is a gorgeous Mavic stem but just a little too long... I have an NOS Cinelli stem and bar that has a shallower drop I will be using and will polish up the Mavic and post a picture to you.

Those Italian bends on the Cinelli do nothing for me at all except kill my back so it will be looking for a new home too.

Truf but I think they keep a few around the shop in colors and sizes they chose themselves. I wish they'd paint their forks still to match the frame.

If you could get the option of having a 2 color paint job too I'd consider getting an aluminum bike. I think you can only do the 1 color and then multiple decal colors.

the extra color sends it to another level
