What? Those are amazing/awesome

Today I:

Painted my nails in honor of our alleycat and poker race, which is Saturday! I really hope people come out and have a good time.

Found out I'm likely working the race checkpoint at Bangers and Lace, a bar/restaurant focusing on sausage and craft beer. This diminishes my disappointment at not being able to ride in my own race. Drinking beers and signing manifests? Yeah, I think I can handle that.

Borrowing a friend's wheelset for the 722 before i can get my own set of nicer ones, Strapped them onto my backpack, and biked a couple miles home. I passed a group of kindergarteners, and they told their leader, "Hey! He looks like Captain America!"
"That's because he is!"

I got a chuckle out of that.

Wait until you get to ride around with a whole other bike strapped on. You just get stupid comments at that point

Those nails are badass. I wish I could race or work it. I may go to the after-party. We will see.

Seems about the same as it is here :\

Leukybear 05-24-12 06:57 PM

Is there a program or script that automatically leaves feedback on ebay once feedback from the associated auction is received by the other party? I'm asking this because I left feedback and less than a minute later, I received feedback in return from the seller.

I receive notifications via my iOS app. He probably got a notification, and sent your feedback.

I'm drinkin' Busch for $1. Mmmmm, good.

Also found an outlet with $1.50 pounders of PBR the other day. Seems like $2 + is becoming the norm.

IthaDan 05-24-12 07:15 PM

Got an all original trek for $175.

Today, after riding brakeless for a whole year, I put on brakes. I went out for a ride and got hit by a car for the first time. Dented my top tube and broke brand new tektro R200's. :/

LesterOfPuppets 05-24-12 07:24 PM

Brakes kill!

jimmytango 05-24-12 07:47 PM

Today, I am seriously in the best mood I've been in in months. I haven't been in this good of a mood since I went to Madison or Austin on vacations, but this time I don't know why.

dont always need a reason to be in a good mood :) sometimes when i have one of those random good moods and i realize its not for anything in particular it makes it even better

True story... guy rolls into the shop with his road bike strapped to his back because it had a flat tyre and is nearly dead from hauling it 15 miles.

Mechanic asked what was wrong and when the guy gave his answer about the problem the mechanic says, if it is just a flat tyre you could have just brought in the wheel.

This made me feel better.

today my wheel slid forward again from a dead stop~>start (resulting in the chain dropping and me holding up a ride for 5 minutes). my fat ass is too much for stupid ass allen key hubs. About to get a new rear wheel built, I feel like I can't trust this damn AC-Sheriff

of course I was paranoid the rest of the ride too, which is a real good way to ride brakeless at an avg moving speed around 20

RGNY 05-24-12 09:29 PM

took my first clipless biff when i got to work today: unclipped both feet, but managed to clip one foot back in while straddling the bike and getting off, don't ask me how.

i'm sure i had the Wiley E. Coyote look on my face on the way down. heard the 'click' and knew what was coming. luckily no one saw! WIN!

cut a flap of skin off my knee with a pocket knife, treated it with some hand sanitizer and covered it with brown paper towel and Scotch tape. *so ghetto*.

thank you ladies and gentlemen, next show is at 10pm, try the prime rib...... :/

nuhtowel 05-24-12 09:35 PM

Yesterday I decided to take my severely neglected caad9 off the wall, pump up the tires, and ride it, I get a block before I hear a loud hiss. Thank you state college partyers for the broken glass.

Today my project at work is actually working (unlike most research projects), which is awesome!

Dude, broken glass is the worst. I got an Armadillo All-Condition on Monday, rode a total of fifty miles on it and got glass through it. Puncture resistant my ass...

I cleaned up the bike. Regular maintenance ftw. Also removed most of the decals off the wheels there were 8 on each side).

Decided I'm going to pickup these wheels :

Just going to buy em and not look back. Hopefully I don't die.
