^that's what I've been leaning towards. when there aren't many around though it's hard to know what their stock colors actually look on a frame and it's hard to make a purchase from a shop like that when you're across the country.

Hamfoh, you and I are sorta in the same boat. I am 6' and can fluctuate in weight based on what events I am doing from anywhere down around 170 in "perfect shape" all the way up to "post-race" where I hover around 188, but I rode all the way up to 285 in weight. Aluminum just beats the crap out of us.

yeah I normally have a big ass bag on too, probably makes things worse. damn my life revolving around my laptop. Even when I'm in great shape, I'm a pretty heavy dude, I'm just big and broad, no avoiding it, so yeah I feel you definitely. I haven't been 170 since high school probably and can get around 230 when I let my gf set up camp in my brain (she's 100lbs so can eat whatever).

the cream city is a good option, if I were to limit my budget to that amount I'd have a hard time not getting something like that. If the track just isn't something I see myself doing on a regular basis then I may go with something like that or even something slightly more relaxed like a wabi frame.

I'm completely in love with stanridge's frames and the idea of a frame built 'for' me. I just don't know if I can realistically drop 1800 on a frameset. this design is definitely very aggressive and I hope to be completely in love with racing to justify splurging ;p

My dream track bike is the geekhouse, but even after speaking with Marty about getting one made, I can't find the patience to wait extended periods of time for a frame. I was looking at Soulcraft too - for a CX frame and they've got a 1 year window right now.

The speed is pretty sexy though, gotta say.

There is nothing better than a steel bike with higher volume tyres for urban assaults, save the skinnies for the track. The rollout is not that much different and you do not get beaten to death.

Yeah I've looked at geekhouse too, love those frames. but by the time you upgrade the tubing, add the triple triangle and fork you're closing the gap on 2k as well

Today I had put in a fun 126 miles though I nearly got taken out by some dummy on an electric bike. Called overtaking to your leftand as I am about to over take he takes a wild swing over to the left. If I didn't react as quick as I did, I would have t-boned him at 24mph.

It always amazes me that so many people's reaction to my calling out "On your left!" is to swerve to the left.

I loved how I could roll over anything with 35mm tires on my touring bike. I might put them on my SR soon just so I can do the fire roads. My commute's conditions really are **** even with the 28s I use now

Globe Roll 1 in green and blue) and I narrowed down my choices. I'm debating between the CAAD8, Allez Elite, S-Works Langster, and Capo. Except that there's a dude selling a FTP with Omniums for like $800. I'm so torn!

It could be a bargain bin nashbar FTP that he got for $150...
