try campy then... <ducks>

Never minded when the bike & group was mine; I'm sporting red atm

Blech campy... that brand sucks hard. I rather choose origin 8 than campy.

Today I was cleaning my apartment, and while washing dishes a plate shattered in my hand giving me a solid gash on my right thumb. Nothing major, but unpleasant no less.

I need to get around to trying out some others so I can understand better why RED is the way to go... I got SRAM RED because it was the right price... Tallied everything up and realized my red/force group set ended up costing me right around $600

Today was supposed to be the nicest day of the week so I went and tried out my new bibs and jersey on a ride around Bellingham. Now I get to chill out on my deck with a lemon coke and bfssfg

Today has been the 7th day since I've had my 3 month old Australian Shepherd pup. Just starting to chow a biting problem, need to work on correcting that, get him to stop being so damn lazy, and let him socialize more with strangers.

Today I put off yet another road ride for a session @ the pumptrack. Road rides for the rest of the week though.

Good luck. First couple of weeks/months feel tough sometimes. Get him to socialize with everything. People, dogs, people riding bikes, etc. Get him into a lot of different situations. Nothing worse than a dog that is scared or aggressive due to improper socialization.

Today I cleaned the bike, bought a lockring tool, tightened everything up, and did some short rides around town running errands. Now I'm sitting here deciding on what my first "touring" ride should be. Quoted because it will probably be a medium ride for most people.

I was just in NYC and within 20 seconds I saw an Orange Eddy Merckx and some dude on a Keirin frame bombing a hill in heavy traffic. I've never seen so many ****ty conversions either.

My girlfriend and I were there yesterday! I didn't get to ride that long since my tube ripped near the valve (how I do not know) and my patch didn't hold well. But I rode with some Aussie named Johannes for a while. It was awesome, I'm taking the class next weekend since I'm outta town this one.

Today I got my stitches removed and went for my first bike ride since having double hernia surgery 12 days ago. I rode my 1 x 7 rigid mtb w/o any foot retention, cuz I'm not supposed to strain my lower abdominal muscles at the surgical site for another month so it heals properly. I'm still a bit sore, but it feels great to be back in the saddle, even if it was only a short and easy ride. It's been hella hot and windy here for the past week, and today is the first day that it's less hot and the winds have died down.

Awesome!

You think you will be OK for nationals?

Thanks. No, nats are definitely out this year because of this, but next year will be fine. I haven't been training (weights, track, intervals etc.) at all since February and wouldn't be able to train hard right up to nats, which are just a month away. I'm not interested in going unless I'm competitive, which I wouldn't be. Some guys like to just show up and ride, but that's not acceptable with me. I wish you the best and say hi to Fran and Bill for me.

stovb 06-22-11 03:32 PM

Today I was supposed to leave work at 2 to go go-karting with all my coworkers, but the kart track had no power due to yesterday's freak storm. Stupid storm.

Oxycontin is not meant to treat allergies.

Gotti 06-22-11 05:41 PM

Dura-Ace FC7600. Nothing crazy but it's hand polished like a muthafu... I'll take a pic of it next time I stop by
