Man, that sucks. Mine lists me as an employee on their FB page, follows me on Twitter, ordered bigger bikes and shoes so I could go down, and is offering me Felt bikes at their cost. Funny part is I haven't even been there yet. I just met the guy that runs it and we hit it off really well.

But yeah, the 53 probably would have been too big for you. On topic. Today I: raced the MASH SF Twin Peaks TT. Since my bike had a brake on it, I was forced to race the road bike category (complete with some Cat 3 -> 1 dudes). No big deal. I placed 4th road [lol] in the qualifying ally cat. http://app.strava.com/rides/7593622 - started my garmin a bit into the ride. Since I made qualifying I got do do the actual Twin Peaks race. I placed 6th road [lolagain] http://app.strava.com/rides/7593623 Random pics: Gettin' ready http://distilleryimage0.instagram.co...3817987b_7.jpg Garret's sweet ass steed: http://distilleryimage0.instagram.co...381b3d7a_7.jpg At the end. I'm ****ing spent. http://distilleryimage6.instagram.co...3815112c_7.jpg All in all, a fantastic day on the bike. I'm stoked on smashing roadies. |

though I will be there next weekend to watch a dude ride on it 24 hours straight for some cause (which cause fails me atm) - so maybe face to face will get some answers. |

Mash is so silly. There, I said it. :innocent: |
our last alley cat had 3 categories, fixed-brakeless: 7 stops, fixed-brake: 8 stops, gears: 9 stops.
if there were only 2, putting him with the road guys is probably the fairest of the options, especially in SF |

just saiyan. +1. nice ridin'. these types of events are attracting more and more elite level riders within the USAC sanctioned system. that's a great result. |

I think they should have just done 3 categories, would that have been so much harder?
Awesome job btw, Jandro |
Today I got to play reverse Tetris with 100 bikes stuffed into a big Uhaul truck, on overtime.

Congrats on your placements. I thought they'd be handing out a prize for the qualifiers 1-3... Super bummed I could not participate in this race... |
Today I gave the Free Spirit frame a quick wipe down, thus ensuring plenty of rain this week.

Did a little flying tonight, breathed in some cool rain washed air, and hit it hard enough to bring on the hurt... after I swapped the stem and re-wrapped the bars the shake down ride on the new road bike was absolutely perfect.
Have not felt this good on a bike in months. Plan to get up early and ride my old training loop and by the time that is done will be able to swing by and pick up a proper road block and some new boots for the bike... thought I had an 11-25 here but can't find it in all the clutter that is my shop. |

The reason you are seeing so many elite level racers come out to these events: if you win a cat 2 criterium, you get some strawberries, a 24oz. of IPA, and a pat on the back. First prize in the road cat was 300$ and a bunch of swag from event sponsors. I'd come out and smash, too. Chris Phipps came out and dominated like last year. It was pretty awe-inspiring. Also: THANKS, DUDES! It really was a fantastic day on the bike. SOOO much fun with some really awesome people/riders. A ton of Wolfpack Hustle LA guys made the trip up - it was great to meet them. They are all really stoked on the SF chapter and want to come ride with us really soon. |
Day job pro: bike parking 4 feet from my desk. U-locked off the ground to a rail so the drops can hang over the rail and be as out of the way as possible.
Day job con: Occasional noob tats from standing too close to the bike to lock it to the rail. Today i have twinsies. Yay! http://distilleryimage3.instagram.co...381b6d77_7.jpg |

Oh mama! Purple/Yellow one? Pics?
http://i641.photobucket.com/albums/u...t/photo-63.jpg It came with a poor replacement rear wheel with a 5 speed freewheel. I will have to change that for him since his GPX accushift is 6/7 compatible. It has an Ambrosio front wheel though. I gave him my vinyl Turbo because it would mean to let him ride on the "Velo" saddle that was on it. There are some paint scruffs but the guy made some attempt at covering them. My brother got it $240, maybe too much because of the wheel and paint, but he will be happy with it. So, TODAY I: replaced a cable and the rear shifter to a Shimano Light Action so that he can stay with indexed shifting. After getting it all working I went up some of the steep hills by my apartment. This thing is stiff with my 200lb ass standing and pushing on the pedals. |
Today I should be studying. But I don't want to. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU finals.
