Today I left campus for the summer. Packed up all my crap and bikes and got ready to move westward for my internship.

Seattle, I will be in you by Tuesday.

Today I realized that I actually really like my new helmet.

Bought some new Merrel barefoot shoes for on road and off road.

This probably doesnt matter now but did you ever try a Giro Atmos? I have a slightly larger head than normal and usually have problems finding headgear that fits. The atmos fit me perfectly.

But yeah, we made eye contact. Exact same reason for me not saying anything, haha.

You ever watch sleepless in seattle? It's kinda like that man. Online communication, real life sightings... no talk...

Too beautiful for words.

We'll work our way into it. You and Jay should come over for a ride.

My favourite helmet is my Alpina... weighs nothing and is a wonderful fit.

jimmytango 05-11-12 04:43 PM

My favorite helmet is my hair...

Today's payday! Hell yeah.

I love payday or for me, pension day as I get paid whether I am sitting here goofing off or doing work in my shop, which is still limited to part time because of health issues.

Usually like to take myself out for dinner and I am a cheap date... usually go for Pho and sometimes a good steak although we are now BBQ'ing at home because the weather is so nice.

But for reals, a couple weeks after being back in the saddle, we should.

For sure, hopefully this clavicle isn't actually broken (doesn't feel like it).

When are you back on the bike? When are we bromancing at the track again? I might go on Saturday even though I can't ride to just hang out.

Today I got tackled from the side and tore the rotator cuff on my shoulder. I still plan on doing my 14mi commute on my bike with one arm.

My follow up appt. is on the 25th. If I'm good, then I'm good. Otherwise, I'll get new casts in two week cycles until the x-rays come out positive.

downpours=no fun. Regardless of your gear you get drenched pretty much

Every time I have to commute in the rain, it takes me longer to get out the door because I'm dreading it so much. Then, after about 1/2 mile, I'm as soaked as could be, so additional rain doesn't bother me, and I realize: "wow, I'm on my bike, this is awesome"

today i, once again, talked myself out of spending stupid cash on a new tricked-out roadie and decided to hit yard sales looking for a used/vintage one to tinker with.

i tend to get sucked into the techno-shiny, then come back to reality....

LesterOfPuppets 05-11-12 08:26 PM

I scored my Diamondback for $60. Tricked out (to me) cuzza the clickety brake levers. Kinda heavy sports/touring frame, but as a trade off it just about fits 38mm knobby CX tires.

There's only way to go if you're posting this in SS/FG.
