There were several other rooms, as well as containers of scrap stuff out back, pretty amazing, unfortunately most of it was pretty junky but serviceable enough for people who just need to get around.

Pulled up the a/c vent out of the floor in the bike room and found the screw that goes in my tail light mount, and my 6mm allen wrench! I thought that bad boy was long gone.

Slightly less exciting: did a lil' 15 mile ride at 7am with my manager at work who is just getting into cycling, then hung out at ye ole LBS for a couple of hours. drank coffee and finished a Steinbeck short story (The Red Pony). just finished raking my yard and cleaning my entire house (except my room, which is a disaster. lol), and I'm about to ride about 7 miles and back to band practice.

oh, and red wine!!! functioning alcoholic ftw (not really). what a nice day off. back to ye ole 5 days tomorrow.

Went on a quick 6 mile loop around Elysian Park. Then I realized I really want a pair of SRAM 500 or SRAM 900 brake levers. But spending $100 on brake levers is a little ridiculous...

Went on a 32 mile ride today on a bike path in New York. First time using a hat, really liked it. Earlier last week I went on a 40-ish mile ride, first time with bibs on that ride, and again, something I'll probably be using.

Have to go back to Cali this Wednesday, but I'm looking forward to no humidity and my friends!

I was just thinking about how awesome it would be to get a custom tweed cycling deerstalker.

Today I went over to puppypilgrim's place to help clean him and his buddy's bike after the ride to Seattle then we tweaked our fit a little and went for a ride.

Also picked up the gift from jdgesus. Thank you so much!

Today I got some new bike parts for my new build.

Frame: 6 Series Madone
Color: Dark sparkle grey clear over raw carbon
Stem: xxx lite
Handlebar: xxx lite
Other: Madone seat cap, Cane Creek bearings all around

Parts on the way
Components: I'm guessing i'll throw on Sram Force. Maybe get something a tad cheaper. I cant make up my mind yet. Maybe even Shimano..who knows...
Wheels: Bontrager Race Xtra Lite (RXL)

Will update in the next week as parts arrive.

Rival with Force shifters. Excited to see your build!

I would personally go for Apex but I'm a cheapskate.

Today i saw two mopeds on the williamsburg bridge bike path, it's bad enough the pedestrian side is closed and we have to steer around strollers and groups of kids, how is it i get a ticket for turning on a red light and these d-bags go unnoticed by the nypd?

Epic day today... just got home; another orbea orca joins the stable. A GDi2!!!! And I'm completely utterly devastated that it's not going to be mine. But the best part is my wife finally gets a frame that fits her! (It's a miniature compared to mine at 48cm; completely shocking weight nonetheless) It's going to be a complete surprise as my wife's still away on business; I'm going to leave it where she hangs the nirone in the garage. Got it for questionably cheap too, but I'll not be the wiser..
Well my day tomorrow is pretty much laid out, I'll be migrating over parts from my old nirone that she's been riding the entire time along with a tire change. No parts undeserving bin build here, DA7900 and tempest II's are in for the ride. Only thing I'm going to sweat about is the internal cable routing.

Test rode a Pinarello with full Campy at the shop. It fit me perfectly and I couldn't get it to flex for the life of me. Fixie all of a sudden felt like crap on the ride home. Very scary.

Today work is slow, looks like another week of crappy hours.

On the plus, I got new plugs so I'm rocking earrings again (went from 0 to 6's and I'm okay with that)

Other then earrings today a homie is having surgery on his jaw, should be on the table as I post this. going to hit the hospital after work and then head to the ride said homie leads. I've had far too few sub 100 mile weeks and it doesn't feel good so the car's been left at work and I'm going to be riding all week.

I'm also going to begin fundraising and looking for parts to begin repairing bikes that have been damaged and trying to see if I can get bike companies/stores to donate parts and set up a series of raffles over the next couple months to try and get some money to give to the families of those who were injured. If anyone could suggest stores that may be down to donate or help i'd love their info.

Tie a string to the end of the existing cable, pull the cable out, tie the new cable to the string, pull the string out. Piece of cake.

Agh you should've posted that earlier! I figured myself but with floss and dust off....
Only thing left now is for a gift card for my wife to have it professionally fitted and dialed in for her at the LBS and a trip to hallmark for the trimmings women fancy for presents.
