IDK, having the freezing and boiling points of water at 0 and 100 degrees makes a lot of sense to me.

That part is great but I wish metric weathermen would resolve the temps at least down to half a degree C. Resolving to full degrees C is just too vague for me when making clothing decisions. :)

after learning that one of the guys that works in my department at the college is doing the tour divide which started yesterday, i decided to watch "Ride the Divide" on netflix
if anyone doesnt know its a 2700+ mile race from Baniff Canada, to the Mexico border in New Mexico. it would be a gnarly road trip, idunno how a human can accomplish this madness |
I'm blown away by craigslist.
Today I put this ad up- http://ithaca.craigslist.org/bik/3067739205.html http://i.imgur.com/UCs5tm.jpg In the last 7 hours, I've had 15 people contact me about it. Honestly, I thought the price was a little high (thoughts?), so maybe the "negotiable" was enough to embolden them to email. But... Wow. |
Today I did a semi-casual 65mi ride down to San Jose.

Obviously different in that it's a supported trip, but the current record is 3,000 miles in a little over 8 days. Hurk.

Holy balls, I will never brag about my daily mileage again. |
Today I had a date day with the wife. Went pretty well. It was nice to have a Saturday night off like a normal person for once.

after a week of fiddling/tuning derailleurs on the CX commute bike, it was ---so--- nice to get the 722ts out for an early morning fun ride around town before church.
and for whatever reason, clipless + fixed continues to make me happier each time i ride. |
Adjusting derailleurs should only take a few minutes. If there are continuing problems with the shifting the hanger might be bent. LBS should have a tool to check and align if needed. Glad you enjoyed your FG though.

Today will be spent on the beach, drinking ginger mojitos and eating fresh fish tacos.
|
Today is my birthday! Last night we hung out at an awesome bar and I didn't pay for a single drink and saw old friends and made new friends and got just the right amount of drunk without over-doing it. Today I've already had brunch (corn cakes with eggs, salsa, black beans, cheese, avocado, and a side of grits) and am planning to just be lazy most of the day. Tonight my husband will grill steaks for dinner.

A happy birthday is you! Congrats on the lifelong achievement!

oh, it probably shifts "fine", but i'm one to keep after it figuring i can make it better. love/hate relationship with the silly things since the late '70s. more recently did mostly ss cruisers, then fixed until i started commuting. coming from downtube friction to indexed brifters was very interesting. still have to make a conscious effort not to muscle the shift and get a double-click instead of a single. :/ |
Just installed a new bathroom sink while my gma is on vacation. Went smooth, she'll like it.

So much exquisite food and drink on this page. My breakfasts of today and yesterday have been pretty low brow comparatively.
Today: coffee and Nutty Bars. Yesterday: 24oz Clamato y Budweiser (which I had cracked open about 3 am but it was still surprisingly tasty when I got back to it around 10am cuz I left it outside and it was like 42 F overnight, perfect Chelada keeping temp.) |
