Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

If you paid a lot for it, you should be pissed.

Today I saw a girl cyclist riding about 50 feet in front of me get doored while on a stretch of road near the beach. She ate it pretty hard and even though she didn't seem to be seriously hurt, she was taken away in an ambulance strapped to a board. The kid explained to the cops that he was "looking at the water". Awesome.

Talk to sugino. They should help you out, just don't mention you bought it used.

Just dropped the kilo off at the lbs. They're giving it a once over, and seating my crown race. Picking it up at 6:30.

He should have tried to help you out by splitting the fee. You just learned why it's better to just pay the extra 2-4%.

Don't ever send it as a gift. People are shady and stupid.

Today I:

That sucks Scrod. My coworker was doored a week ago by a passenger door while trying to get into a right turn lane. She's relatively ok though.

Today my Magicshine arrived. Holy crap. I see the light

I'd use it - but I'd still be pissed off about the dude not specifying that it has a chipped tooth.

Sold my Windsor The Hour to a guy who works in my building.
Waiting for shipping conformation on my Dolan Pre Cursa (hopefully) and need to order some more parts for my Leader 722ts build. Going to do some dirt/gravel riding tomorrow with my Giant TCX (cyclocross bike) tomorrow.

Today I put the hurt on the guy I was going to train. The guy gave up 10 miles in, which means I no longer have to deal with him. So I put in another 16 miles had an encounter with a black bear and flatted. Later went and threw the mtb around some.

yesterday me and another cyclist were almost run down by a driver who ran a stop sign. not a typical roll through, this was a full speed no brake run, came out of nowhere, didn't see it coming until almost too late. all i could do after was exclaim **** and ride on, i was so stunned that i had almost just died.

Today I had physio, picked up a pair of roof rails for the Bikemobile, and spent the afternoon installing those and hopping up a trike for a lady with disabilities.

Test fitted my daughter's Twenty to the new rack and am really pleased at how solid it is up there and know my Twenty will fit just fine on the other rail when we drive to Portland... these are the bikes we are taking with us on our little road trip and would take another except I have another Twenty on PDX for my oldest daughter.

I don't want to think about the bugs we will be cleaning off the bikes...

The only thing that isn't too nice to be on a kilo is the wheelset.

When I get them replaced, the world will end. Sorry guys.
