So today I did a total biking of 37mi. Got off work and met up with some people for my first real group ride. It was a good time and looking forward to the next one.

I knew the day would come when my E-P1 was officially old. Still love it though, even though it's taken a back seat to my iPhone.

Today I started a Pedal Room page. I don't know why. I think I need moar biek fwendz, even though commuting's all I have time for these days.

E-P1 doesn't take VF-2. Sad face.
I hardly use that lens; i had it ready on lunar eclipse night then fell asleep. I prefer Canon FD 50 1.8 but am also getting acquainted with a Konica 40 1.8. I really want that Lumix 25 1.4 though.

Oh right right, I remember now, you're stuck with the vf1 which is totally not worth it.

home from fencing practice. in a strange twist of fate it actually stopped raining for my ride there and back. of course i rode home from work in the -driving- rain. Rules 5 & 9 satisfied. still waiting on the LBS to get my fenders and headlight in. i almost feel like i'm cheating, but i don't think i'll need the rest of my stable until spring. the Nature Boy is my 'swiss army bike'.

enjoying a liter of St. Bernardus Abt 12, then it's time to wipe the bike down and check the tires for tomorrow.

Just printed the return labels for my Fuji, and the PL1 already shipped.

Nice one!

I always wonder what an owner would do when the stationary front lens element gets damaged with everyday use and lack of protection.

Velognome 10-02-12 08:20 PM

Rode 30 miles in the rain that was not falling (according the local news)

Yeah. I'm pretty excited. I'm returning the camera($170) and the essentials bundle($30), and got the PL1 and essentials for $200. So I pretty much traded. Up.

Today I found out that I finished in front of 2 other riders in my category on Sunday's race, and I was racing against some pretty strong guys.
I'm happy to be able to beat some geared riders on that course, specially since I had no training and was only riding for fun.

Nagrom_ 10-02-12 08:57 PM

Big ass car accident on my corner.

Jandro 10-02-12 09:13 PM

Today I realized I haven't been on BF is almost two months. Huh.

TheRealFaux 10-02-12 09:21 PM

Today (within the past 24hrs) I rode +106mi, though not all at once.

Got myself a birthday present and picked up a winter project. No calipers, and 1055 levers. Hmm.

Higher Class 10-03-12 11:19 AM

finalized my decision on my new road wheel build

ultegra hubs laced to stan's 340

logic: cheap as hell. custom professional build. light, but with reliable hubs that i will actually reuse when the rims crap out. not too concerned with stiffness (never gonna win a race sprinting)

then my truck broke down. "new wheels? how about... new coolant system?" says life.

ddeadserious 10-03-12 11:25 AM

Today my sqrl's bike came in. Too bad we don't have the money to pay for it yet.

Tried to do a balls-on-stem skid down the ramp on the bike path and the handlebars groaned and rotated down. Stupid X2 stem.

Also got this sweet pixie:

massive meat mast.

Today I spent an hour Googling how to move to Brussels; and then how to get a visa; and then looking at job listings at eurobrussels.com. Must be the clouds and the rain but I miss Belgium today and want to go back.

cali_axela 10-03-12 02:05 PM

Got a flat on the rear from a nasty sliver of glass shaped like an arrowhead, on my commute this morning. I don't carry spare tubes or a pump with this bike, so walked the last mile of my commute. Patched it at my desk when I got to work, good to go for the ride home tonight.
