Today (well last night) I put a set of MTB pedals on a Cannondale SuperSix Evo full Red with carbon tubulars. I cried a little.

LesterOfPuppets 11-08-12 11:20 AM

Other things I've been known to do:

1. Form a triangle with the stiff pin in the middle and wiggle the hell out of links on either side of stiff pin, really give it a lot of lateral movement with your hands.

2. *(if #1 don't work) Take a flathead screwdriver and put it between the outer plates next to pin, gently pry the plates apart, I repeat GENTLY. Repeat for inner plates. Then do a little bit more of #1

Did you really just respond to a post made in April?

Anyone with two thumbs can loosen a stiff link without using a chain tool.

LesterOfPuppets 11-08-12 11:25 AM

I was wondering when the hell that happened. Hope dude got his kink worked out before summer riding season hit.

BTW, I hate CT-5s.

Super tiny venue, very intimate and chill show. It was great.

I wanted to learn to sew, and I couldn't justify spending $25 on a bike burrito. Now I can sew, and I can absolutely justify the expense. I'll probably end up making as many as I can from the fabric I have left, and donate them to my co-op to sell.

misskaz 11-08-12 02:29 PM

One of my TinyFix ladies was a textile design major and works for a company that makes trade show banners/booth stuff and therefore has access to tons of scrap fabric and industrial sewing machines. She's been cranking out these tool bags and we sell 'em for $15. Not as organized as a roll and just meant to be tossed in your messenger bag or whatever, but I like mine a lot. We silk screened a few with our logo too.

Those are pretty cool. I want a real tool roll instead of the pencil bag I use.

The drop bar mtb is coming along. I will have pictures later tonight. I have to get it done because a friend wants to do some off roading tomorrow.

Those look like great bags!

Today I bought three sets of aksiums  :speedy:

This show was at Cactus Club wasn't it? That's my all-time favorite venue in MKE. I saw Russian Circles there a while back. There's a rad bar across the street called Palomino, too.

Dannihilator 11-08-12 04:54 PM

Today I got electric back.

Win8 IMO is as good as XP was when I updated to it from '00.

We'll see, lol.

Took the day off at work to go volunteer at the co-op. Was strongly tempted by a Bridgestone mountain bike. Camping season is only 5 months away...

Nagrom_ 11-08-12 07:48 PM

I chickened out. Gonna dual boot 7&8 instead of upgrading.

I'm strongly tempted by one also. Used to have an MB-2 but didn't like it as much as these MB-3s. I must have cheap taste.

Clean install > upgrade always.
