Today I have humiliated my Mongoose with full fenders. It might have to suffer this 'muter-freddom 'til May or so.

It has been an expensive week... :) |
Today I'm probably going to buy a hot **** Peugeot mountain bike.
|
Yesterday I got a Windows 7 Nokia. I like it so far. I did not miss having a cell phone for the past 6 months though.

Last day of classes today. Sizing up an OCLV trek tomorrow.

Found this random old gem of a tool in a towel my old neighbor gave me, (along with some other small tools and a patch kit)

Those multi wrenches came in a lot of low end bike repair kits and maybe they still do... and fenders on a commuter is the way it should be unless you live in the desert.
I wish they made a quality one, that'd be cool. Or if craftsman made a stubby dog bone wrench. Today I got to weather test a new parka and my MW Sanction. Pass for both. |
I was down to go ride fireroads today but the sky decided to rain. Instead I'm here and will probably change the shifters on the mtb for something to do
|
It was sunny here for a second, so I took off my boots and put on Vans. Then it rained a bit, so thought about putting boots back on, now it's stopped again so Vans might stay on. Think I'll just bring a second pair of sneakers and socks along, I need a break from boots.

I've just been sitting around all day like i have been most of the time the last 2.5 weeks, because of the accident I posted about. Wednesday I had AC joint reconstruction surgery done on my right shoulder, so at least that is out of the away. I just wish I could ride. I have a follow up appointment in a couple weeks, and i guess that's when i start physical therapy. At that time I'll probably have a general idea how long I'll be out.

am enjoying some of the best freshly smoked and canned tuna I've had in a long time.

Today I'm just hanging out at home. And right now I'm about to pull the trigger on another cycling cap. Who needs money?

Good for busting out windows too, I'll wager.

how weird am i that i actually have all 3 of the aforementioned multi(?)-tools (and even a couple others)?
tis a sad commentary on what a sucker i am for these things... http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=286343 fwiw...the red handled 4-way hex tool is in fact extremely handy |
The one on the right is my lockring tool, lol
today im in boston and its friggin cold. seen a lot of bikes so far, youd think being from nyc im used to it but im always dissapointed by the amount of bikes i see i manhattan lotsa fixiebros and mtb fredmuters |
Today my Spicer went home with a cute messenger chick. I was 50/50 on selling it but now i'm happy I did. It just didn't fit. I'm currently trying to work out shipping with someone on a Raleigh Macaframa in my size. Also looking at a Pista Concept half the price of the Maca....

That MT-1 will make a pretty sweet stocking stuffer present, definitely want to add it to my towel.

I've been seeing the fredmuters too. They keep riding on the wrong side of the road. I'm pretty sure its so they can watch traffic come at them. It's not like these guys have flash-like reflexes to dodge that Escalade that's barreling towards them. To be honest, I'd rather not see it coming anyways.
I think I have tendonitis in my foot/ankle. Whenever I really crank down or pull up with that foot, I feel a sharp stabbing pain on the inside from the ball to the ankle. I really wanna just HTFU but it hasn't gotten any better with a couple days of rest. Walking around with my goofed shoes kills too. Sober driving for a buddies 21st because I'm broke as a joke and need an excuse not to waste money on booze. |
That may be something else. When I had tendonitis in my knee it was a bad burning sensation

Half the price is hard to ignore, but I like the Macaframa. I'd take a Rush Hour Pro over that though.

Today I gave my wife the choice between a brand new iMac (with requisite drain on the savings) vs. taking my 3 year old, upgraded but serviceable PC.... and she got so stressed out about it that she told me she didn't want anything and went to bed. At 7pm.
FML. |
Does she want a mac book lol?
