Nooooooo thats not why. I just find it really funny that thats what happens. I mostly do when we're shooting competitively, and we just strap up and wear them all day.

OK, I'm done correcting hairnet for the day ;)

SNAP

I didnt really look at the scratched up decal. I really want one of those, any time they pop up at the co-op it's because they are broken :(

I'll keep my eyes peeled at my shop. I've seen exactly zero in my 6 month tenure.

jimmytango 09-13-12 09:54 PM

I'm often amazed at how often discussions here turn to guns.

Muffin Man 09-13-12 10:05 PM

I hate people who flake, and people who lowball you on craigslist. Sh*t sucks man.

Its all good man. We actually had a problem not too long ago here in MI, where some kid got an M1 garand for his 18th birthday, and decided to go walk around 'downtown' where he lived with it slung on his shoulder, just to see people's reactions. He got stopped by the cops, which they really shouldn't have, and he decided to get all loud and make a show of it. So there was legal action. Thats the one downside of having the age set so low, because 18 yr olds are generally still pretty stupid. I know I was, and I'm honestly glad that I wasn't walking around back then with a gun on my hip/shoulder just because I could.

Bikes, guns, close enough.

jimmytango 09-13-12 10:57 PM

Metal tubes of varied diameters, velocity is often brought up, they can cause death... Yeah, I think the similarities end there.

Don't forget the rifling in Columbus SLX and Miyata STB tubing

That's just annoying.

seau grateau 09-14-12 02:22 AM

Major suppage of sqrls at the neighborhood bar tonight. Did not intend to stay there so long. Now, major sleepage.

Also +1 about the boyfriend spider. Tell her to hit it with a book and go back to sleep. *just remembered why I'm single*

Training.Wheels 09-14-12 02:49 AM

Today I rode 20 miles, passing a couple of bike shops to get various things done. Rode with a wheel on my back; popped my bro's tube yesterday during a test drive; too lazy to patch it up myself, but wasn't at all lazy to ride 8 miles away to get the tube replaced. Passed by a dude on a folding bike. I like seeing folding and track bikes on the street.

eyeomegasquared 09-14-12 04:55 AM

What is sqrls?

smurray 09-14-12 07:35 AM

Today I loosened my chain slightly before riding to work. I couldn't believe how much quieter my bike is now. The chain never really felt too tight before, but it was definitely noisy back at the cog. I can barely hear it now.

The gun wasn't pointed at me, he just had it in his hand. He wasn't awarded the split second it would have taken to pull the trigger because I reacted before he was even in control of what he was doing.

Mumonkan 09-14-12 08:04 AM

today i have to readjust my bars, i hit a big ass bump yesterday trying to not get blown off the side of the road by a mcdonalds 18 wheeler and they actually slipped inside my stem and turned downwards, approaching jakarta levels

damn non knurled clamping surfaces of $18 bars
come faster scrodbox!

yummygooey 09-14-12 08:42 AM

Today, oatmeal is starting to taste ok to me.

WHAT IS HAPPENING.

LessonLearned 09-14-12 08:54 AM

oatmeal is great when made with milk and real maple syrup

Today I'm probably going to pickup a pair of SIDI Dom5's. Clipless, brah. Stoked, brah.

prooftheory 09-14-12 08:58 AM

Oatmeal is also good with ice cream.

Mumonkan 09-14-12 09:06 AM

plain oatmeal sucks and is boring, gotta add some jazz and make it with milk to make it good

after fixing my bars, this appeared on my computer screen:

Costa Rican joint by my crib sells awesome milkshakes. Banana oatmeal is my current favorite.

misskaz 09-14-12 09:11 AM

today i am conflicted. this is going to be a really hard weekend in my personal life, a fun weekend socially, and a stressful weekend work-wise (a consulting gig i thought had died out is starting up again).

Today I lost my mind trying to explain to a customer that a freewheel can be used on a fixed hub. I even physically showed him that it can be done. He refused to believe me and got frustrated.

**** you, go bother the idiots at Superb.

For a second I thought he was requesting a freewheel on a free hub. My mind almost melted.

Seriously though how do some people make it through life with no reasoning skills at all, and how hard is life when that is the case?

Scrodzilla 09-14-12 09:59 AM

If ignorance is bliss, I'd rather be smart, pissed an uncomfortable.
