The 'Profesional' frames were actually made to commemorate Merckx's 1972 Hour record in Mexico City, thus making it an OG Windsor 'The Hour'.
|
Such a sweet frame. I noticed all your bikes are fixed with no brakes. Are you going to build this one up the same?

How was the race? I plan on going out somewhat soon, since I work right by a velodrome.

Tubes are Columbus SL, dropouts are Campy and the BB is Italian-threaded. Not entirely certain about the year but the seller thinks it's a 1973, which is kinda cool because that's when I was born. |
Today I raised my stem by 20mm, and it made all the difference in the world in my ride comfort. I know the "cool" thing to do is to have a slammed stem, but until I get in better shape and stretch my back out some this will have to do.

Got a ****ing mosquito bite right in the center of my forehead.

Although the original hour record bike used by Merckx was a Colnago -- re-badged at the last minute as a "Windsor" to reflect Mexican pride apparently, and infuriating Ernesto Colnago.

I was a little afraid to post it.

Oddly enough, I'd found it maybe 10 minutes before you first posted it. Came up in a search for "Merckx"
|
Today I learned about the various models and makes of fixie helmets
|
today I changed my custom user title from Meow meow meow to Kitten Legion Master.

Today I can't decide which bike to ride. Never had this happen before. I think Pinarello mourning is really starting to sink in.
|
Stuffed myself on fried chicken from the Chinese place across the road. They really give you way too much food.
|
Today I:
Never too much food.
I spent the day in Little Tokyo with my girlfriend because she has been pretty emotional lately. There was much Sapporo, takoyaki, and donburi. Unfortunately it is way too hot for soups or curry. |
I love curry in the heat.
Damn, got trounced on Strava. Gonna hit that route hard tomorrow. Uh oh! You just lost your KOM on Downtown Vancouver to PDX via I205 Bridge to Tom Kay by 9 minutes 13 seconds. |
In pacific grove for a tri. Checked out a local bike shop, picked up a new pair of bib shorts on sale, couple pair of socks, and two sweet cycling caps (my first).
|
|
Today I:
Today my sqrl got a free iTunes $50 iTunes gift card which she in turn gave to me because she doesn't have an iPhone. What paid cycling related apps should I splurge on?
|
Today I threw the dmr around some more. Can't ride the 930 until I get a new rear wheel, rim is cracked.
|
I'd say BF app, but judging by your formatting, that has already been done.
Just picked up 4 various black/white used jerseys on eBay for 50 bucks. |
