Today I put in a fast 25. Flatted by a poultry staple 8 miles in. Good thing I brought an extra tube and my CO2 pump. Bad thing I forgot to bring a 15mm wrench and cartridges.

Patched the tube without taking the wheel off, and pumped it with my little frame pump.

Solid ride.

Found an old mountain bike at a garage sale for $15. No wheels, but everything else was there.

today my 105 pedals came in and i installed them on my bike

too bad i got a flat this morning on my way to work and ran out of patches and tubes, lbs is closed tomorrow and its supposed to rain all week.

Left work early cuz we were overstaffed, and watched a dude get intentionally doored. Waited for cops. Not pretty. Dude went up and over the door with one leg still clipped in.

The same thing happened to me. It was the day my shoes came in since the pedals arrived first.

Gotta add that the SA by the airport here has smooth valve stem Avenir tubes. I love the smooth side, and my pump head does too.

Today I put in a good 30 miles.

Unfortunately i live in the butthole of NY, and we dont get anything good on this island. We just got a dicks but they dont even have a bike section, no walmart either. Years ago half the island literally petitioned against it

I could go to a bmx shop nearby that technically sells 700c tubes but theyre ultra crap sunlite ones that ive had fail before even riding on them. Theyre also $2 more expensive than the good shop sells good tubes to me for

And I realized that working on bike projects in Solidworks is more fun when I don't get paid...but ultimately, much more pointless.

We started with a group of 12, but halfway through there were just two of us left. There were many lone riders on the road, but this ride is best done with at least a pair of riders.

Weather has been wonderful up here. Rode 17 miles yesterday on our tandem with "better half" who is recuperating from jaw surgery. Today, adjusted the shifting on the rear derailer of tandem, then installed new grip shifters on grandson's bike.

Oh yes. Very mucho.
